What time of day was your wedding?

I'm trying to pick between midday at 1:00 PM or late afternoon with the ceremony at 6:00 pm. Can intimate brides have wedding at the WP that late and if so do you think it would be a good time to have the wedding?

I think it all depends on you plans for afterwards... we had a 3pm intimate at Sunset Pointe - by the time we had all our photos done it was 5.30pm. We headed to WL in time for a drink in the bar before our 7pm wishes cruise - then had dinner at 9pm.

Yes, the latest time slot for intimates at the WP is 6pm. The time you choose depends on what time of year and what type of feel you are going for. Depending on the season, it might be dusk or darker at 6pm. I think that the beauty of the WP is enhanced when sunlight streams through the gorgeous windows. From the photos I have seen, you can't see the castle through the window at night. The windows just appear black. During the day, it is possible to take photos with the castle visible in the window. I guess you also have to consider whether you want a late lunch or dinner after your wedding. You may want to think about what restaurant you are interested in, and find out if they serve lunch and/or dinner. Good luck!

we had our intimate at the wedding pavilion at 2pm (we actually started about 15 mins early to try and get the outside photos done before it rained, and i mean absolutely poured it down!!)
we had dinner booked for 5.30 and a wishes cruise booked for 9pm.
so it really depends on what you've got planned for after the wedding

Our intimate is at 2:00 at the Yacht Club. Hopefully we will not have to wait too much (after pictures, etc) before our dinner at Palio's at 6!

Our ceremony was at 11am...I agree with WDWbride2007 about considering the weather in your plan.

We were married in late September, and it was HOT AND HUMID that day! I'm so glad we didn't decide to get married at 1 or 3pm...it would have been almost unbearable! I didn't wear a full wedding gown (just a summery dress) but I was plenty warm that day! :)

we had our wedding at 10 AM and our reception was at noon.

Our intimate wedding is at 2 pm at Sunset Pointe and then the 5:30 reception at the Yachtsman Steakhouse.

OMG! Karen your photos are absolutely amazing! I can see the castle really well during your ceremony. Congrats on such a beautiful wedding!

DH and I are not morning people so we decided on 3:00 pm for our Intimate ceremony at Sunrise Terrace. I was worried about rain (that was the time of Hurricane Wilma) but it was gorgeous out. Just perfect weather.

We did 3 at Sunset Pointe, with a 5:30 dinner at Yachtsman. Since it was December, the sun was beautifly setting before we were done our pictures. I think it depends on the time of year and if you are planning on pictures after the wedding outside.

The other thing to consider is how early you need to be ready. For 3 I had to be up at about 9 to be able to get breakfast, as well as hair and makeup before the limo arrived at 2:30.
