What time must you be off the ship by?

We are sailing on the Dream out of Port Canaveral. I prefer non-stop flights and can only get one at 2 o'clock (everything else is much earlier in the day). Can we than take our time getting off the ship? What time must everyone be off?

At 9 they are sending you to exit the ship.

A 2 pm flight for us means the last minute we want to be walking into MCO is noon, but if we have bags to check (if we can't use onboard airline checkin) we want to be there earlier. With an hour drive from the port that means we wants be on the road at 11 by the latest. If you're on the gangplank leaving the ship at 9, you still have time before you're outside the building. The lines for customs can be long and slow. Take your time getting luggage (no need for a mad rush). Relax.

So I see just one extra hour in there, but I would be VERY happy to have that hour at MCO. Security lines are usually horrible there. There's lots of shopping, and there are places to eat. Lots of things to fill your time.

When thinking of it that way, it's actually a perfect flight time.

So are you free than to go and have breakfast before getting off the ship?

Yes you can have breakfast before leaving. You can do cabanas buffet and walk off at your leisure or have breakfast at your scheduled time in the main dining room you had dinner in the night before. If you choose this option, you can either carry all of your bags like as noted in express walk off OR if you left your luggage outside your room the night before, just take whatever small bags you have, then claim your luggage inside the terminal.

You can do express walk off as soon as the ship is cleared. This means you are carrying everything your brought off the ship with you. This means all suitcases, carry on items, purses, souvenirs, everything. You then go through customs and on to whatever mode of transportation you have. Typically you do not have breakfast if you choose this option because you really have somewhere else to be.

The line took over 45 minutes one cruise. We decided to go and walk around the next time we saw a long line. We were in no hurry.

FYI don't rush. If you are flying SW they will not allow you to check bags more than 4 hours before your flight out of MCO. I've seen people wait in long lines only to be told they have to hold onto their suitcases and do it again closer to the flight.

Is Cabanas open that last morning? I've only done one cruise (last week), but I thought you could only do your rotation spot. Which for us was the lovely 6:45 at Enchanted Garden.

There is a lot of work the CM's need to do to get everything ready for the next group of passengers. This is why they need you out of your cabins and moving off the vessel by 0900.

You will find except for breakfast and guest services, everything is closed, pools, shops, etc.

CM's will be politely shooing everyone toward the side doors and gangway by 0900.

Jumping in. What time is the 2nd seating breakfast? Wanted to schedule our port pick up and trying to figure out logistics. I'm thinking...9:30am should be ok?

9:30 should be fine, or even a little on the late side. They really rush you through that last breakfast. Even eating the late breakfast, we are usually walking off the ship before 9:00. Then it just depends on how much of a wait there is at Customs. We've been through Customs and waiting to be picked up by 9:00 with second seating.

Thank you! Yeah I wasn't sure with 2nd seating. We had first seating last time on the Magic and we were off the boat REALLY early, like 8:15 and customs was a breeze. This time we have 2nd seating - and we're also on the Fantasy, not sure if the larger ship size will make the disembarkation process longer? I will probably do a 9:20 pick up. Just in case. Thanks!

We were on the Fantasy in June of last year and had second seating. My brother was picking us up at the port and I just checked my texts. I texted him we were ready to be picked up at 8:50am. But I would say that's an outlier. I wouldn't bank on being ready to be picked up that early with second seating.
