What time is it now and how's the Weather Temperature in your neck of the woods?

We have power up here by the airport in Worcester, but we lost it for a few hours this morning! It's gotten really windy here....so now more limbs are falling down! My ride in from Templeton was petrifying this morning! My normal 45 minute commute took an hour and a half, due to downed powerlines and tree's. I was re-routed a couple times, which I swear at one point I felt like I was on a cart road! It's just plain scary out here....I've decided I'm going home on the highway tonight, I'm done with the backroads for at least a week or so!

My mother just called she forgot to tell me my sister got power last night, I think around 5p. She is up there some where not to far from the airport, I think on the other side of the hill/mt. She did live on the road to the airport but moved about three years ago.

Windy here to, SSW 14mph gusting up to 20. It's 4:00p and 63 degrees that's a good thing in my book.

6 a.m. 23 degrees in Northern KY.

We were supposed to get a big "wintry mix" overnight. Nothing! I'm NOT complaining! My kids were wishing for a snow day from school, however. Too bad kids.

Ok.. where do you live??? I would like to vaca and try that weather and see if I can move ... right now on top of my list is Angel Fire, New Mexico which is about 25 degrees right now and low of 11 !!!

I'm in Northern Minnesota, along Lake Superior. It's beautiful up here, just these cold snaps we get a few times a winter make it a little less desirable! We got around 9 inches of snow over the weekend.

just a few times ?????? hmmmmmmm ... that might be a deal breaker with Angelfire... do you know that even this past May of 08 it was still snowing there .. yes... yes.. yes.. I was one of the few who ebjoyed that freezing temp last week who enjoyed watching Fantasmic!!!

I guess "cold" is all relative! A cold snap to me is when high temps are below -10. I thought I ought to define what cold to me is as that can vary GREATLY between people/regions!

There was a thread around here about when recess is canceled (and when school is canceled). There were some places if it were below 50, the kids weren't going outside. I'd still wear shorts at 50!!! Here, if it's below zero they stay in for recess, but they still have school. Today school was in session even with the frigid temps (they stayed home yesterday because it was snowing, cold, and windy). Now that roads are cleared up, school was "at parental discretion" due to the cold temps.

12 degrees her in IL not including wind chill. It is really cold here really early since normally it doesn't go near zero or below till January.

I told my DH that I am seriously moving someplace with less cold days in the year by next winter. Him and DS both laughed at me since I have said that every year since DS was small.

Give me FL in August because I love it much better than the bitter cold.

Ok... Agreed!!! you and Ang can move and I wil come visit every month... and maybe stay a whole month from Dec. 24 to Jan 24

it is now 12:30PM and went one degree lower.. it is now 40 degrees here in Delco, Pa soon it will be 32 with wet snow!!!

In Kentucky where I lived it is 28 with freezing rain.

NHPooh,
I'm so up for moving with you. To think about 5 years ago my DH almost had me convinced to move to NH. He claimed it didn't get as cold there. LOL He was so blowing smoke up my you know what. NH is beautiful though.

For me under 70 is cold and the AC doesn't go on till it's around 90 degrees if DH is not home. In the summer DH is always turning the AC lower while I turn it higher. lol

You are welcome to come stay in the winter but I thought that is when it just starts getting cold enough for you in PA?
