What time is check out?

I flight keeps getting pushed back to a later flight. I guess they are canceling flights for some reason or another. Now the flight does not leave until 3:40 pm. What time do you have to be out of your room. We will be using the Magical express. I think check out is at 11am............does this mean we have to go to the airport at 11 and wait until 3:40?

They will pick you up 3 to 3 1/2 hours before your flight... checkout is 11am.... so that put you around 12:00. You can check you bags and grab a bite while you wait for ME.

You can also call the front desk and see if you can get a late check-out. They will usually give you extra hour if it's available.

I've done that before and gotten a 1pm check out time.
Ask for it when you check in, but they will tell you to ask again the day before you are scheduled to check out. Do it early the day before. They limit the # of late check outs because they still need time for mousekeeping to get the rooms cleaned before 4pm check ins. It will also depend on how busy the resort is that day w/ check ins/check outs. But it is definitely worth asking for. Have a great trip.

WDW LATE CHECKOUT:

1) DVC rooms (OKW-SSR-VWL-BCV-AKV-BWV) do not allow late check-outs.
2) Resort late checkouts are permitted by Housekeeping, not the Front Desk.
3) It depends upon
. . . number of check-ins and check-outs that day
. . . occupancy of the resort the night before
. . . staffing and/or absenteeism of maids
. . . phase of the moon
4) If allowed,
. . . check-out 11:00am-1:00pm, no charge
. . . check-out 1:00pm-3:00pm, up to 50% of the room rate
. . . check-out 3:00pm or later, up to 100% of room rate
5) Housekeeping decides if you will be charged or not be charged a fee.
6) This is done by the Housekeeping Manager after the room is cleaned.
7) You will know if there is a charge when you see the credit card statement.

We were just there October 8-15. We were over at the All Star Sports. I called the front desk at 8pm the night before we checked out. I explained that we were being picked up at 12noon and needed a place to keep our luggage. She said to hold on. She checked and said we could keep the room until 12. I specifically asked if they would charge me. She said no. I took her name and she said she put it on the computer under our room and that was that. When we got up that morning I called the front desk and double checked. She said all was fine and to enjoy our room until 12 noon.
