what time does you gp DR's office close? this is nuts

What is up with the DR hours? It used to be 8-5 back in the day. Now they lunch 1 1/2 and close at 12 on Fridays. It seems to be the new thing. No wonder if I call for a sick visit, I get one 2 weeks later. DUH!! Is it just here or are you seeing this more and more too?

General Family Practice. Part of a group pratice, but he is alone in this office. I called the other office and they have same hours and such.

Wow, I feel very lucky. My doctor's office is open 8-8 M-W, 8-5 Thurs and Fri, and 10-1 Saturday AND Sunday.

It depends on if they're in solo practice or if they're in a specialty where they have to round at the hospital frequently. My pediatrician was in solo pratice and had limited hours but had to rely on herself to answer all phone calls and visit patients in the hospital.

Ours is open 7:30-4pm. When I call for an appointment they ask me how soon I can get there. When we lived in washington, we could never get a sick appointment either, just had to go to urgent care.

My doctor is great (which is why I won't switch), but it seems like every time I'm sick, he's either closed or on vacation.

8am - 6 pm closed from 1-2 for lunch but will still see patients if needed..
and sat 8-4 sunday by appointment only

office hours are one of the reasons I changed Drs.

Hours are 9-4 monday thru thursday with 12-1:30 off for lunch.

I would always ask for the 9am appointment and even then it would be 9:15 before they opened the door and after 9:30 before you saw the Dr.

8 or 9AM till 9PM M-F and 9-1 Sat, 1-6 Sun

The late hours are one reason we changed. DH doesn't always know what his hours will be or where he will be. I would make him an appt for work hours and he'd have to change it. Several of our local dr's offices are starting this. They are also a "walk-in" clinic.

Mine is open at 8:00, I'm not sure when they close. I've never not been able to get in when I was sick. They were great to me last year when I was having a lot of trouble with my asthma, even though I refused to be hospitalized because "I can't go into the hospital today, I have to go shoot KoRn tonight!" What I do for my career...

Those are the same hours our pediatrician's office has. There are 4 doctors there. They have an urgent care center as well though.
