What time does the ship leave port?

Do you get a set boarding time? How long does it usually take to board? What time do you set sail?

You get your boarding time once you do on-line check in. Depending upon when you do the check in you can pick the time to board. Boarding is very easy and does not take long. Once you are checked in and your KTTW are swiped there is photo op. Then you walk on board where you are greeted by cruise staff and get introduced to the ship. You can not get into your cabins until 130 pm. There is a deck party. All extras have to be off the ship by 4 pm.

You choose a Port Arrival Time when you do online checkin. That is when you get to the port. Your boarding number is tied to your PAT. Earlier PAT = lower boarding number.

How long it takes depends on what boarding number you get and when they start boarding.

The ships generally sail at 5PM. This can change based on anything that happens that could hold it up.

Cruise ships don't try to maintain an on-time record like an airline flight schedule. If another ship ahead of your ship is slow to leave port, then you will be delayed for a few minutes.

On one of our cruises the Wonder took longer to load supplies than they had planned, so we were half an hour late pulling out of Port Canaveral. One of the women assigned to our dinner table was quite upset that we had left late because her daughter was supposed to wave at us as we cruised past. She actually kept a list of everything she didn't like about the cruise -- any mild upset and she'd say, "That's going on the list!" I really hope we don't ever cruise with her again.

It doesn't matter who you booked through. Newbies can check-in 75 days before the cruise. If you look up your reservation online it will give you a count-down of the number of days left before you can do your check-in and book shore excursions.

you should be able to log into the disney site, enter your confirmation number, and it will tell you when you can start booking.
