What time does the port open?

And what time do people typically get there to be one of the first on board?

The port usually opens at around 10:30am. I have heard people say that they've gotten in just after 10:00, but 10:30 seems to be the norm.

We generally get there at around 11:15 and are usually among the first 50 or so.

What time is the first DCL bus to the port? We also want to arrive early. Also, how much time should we allow to meet up with DCL people, wait in line, and what ever else has to be done there. Thanks ahead!

Assuming the ship arrives in Port Canaveral on time, I believe everyone must be off by 9:00am.

I've only taken the DCL buses from the airport to port, so I'm not sure how it works if you're traveling from the resort. Anyway, if you're staying at or near the airport the night before the cruise, check-in for the buses is at around 9:00am, in the lobby of the Hyatt in the airport terminal. The first bus usually leaves at around 10:00am. The check-in usually goes pretty quickly, then there's a bit of a wait, usually a half-hour or so, depending on how quickly the first bus arrives and then how quickly they can get them loaded and on the road.
