What time does security open?

Anyone know what time they usually open security? We're in a line out by the bus stops and it's 7:10 with a park opening of 8AM.

The line is almost reaching the road it's wild! This is our first time back since covid- I must have missed this change when reading online here.

Oh that;s tough... is that with 8am opening? I want to be at the gates an hour early over Christmnas... what is the better way to enter? We are staying Harbor-side though...

They opened security an hour before (7 am for 8 am opening, and 6:30 for 7:30 Disney+ Day opening on 11/12) at the DTD/DLH side last week. We were already at the gates at DCA when people started coming in from the Harbor side.

They opened security an hour before (7 am for 8 am opening, and 6:30 for 7:30 Disney+ Day opening on 11/12) at the DTD/DLH side last week. We were already at the gates at DCA when people started coming in from the Harbor side.

It has been our experience that they let hotel guests from GCH and the DLH security gate in first, a few minutes earlier. Then by that time people start arriving from the parking garage walk, and then they open the Harbor Side.

They opened it about 7:20 today which seemed so late to me- used to the pre covid days. The line on Harbor was insane. But it disperses pretty well for the gate lines so we're not going to come that early again to avoid that madness. We were near the end of the line and we still got a good spot at entrance gate lines.

Anyone know when they open up security at the toy story lot and start driving people over? We plan to use that in the morning and will need to time it out right.

7amish. They let cars in at 7, and you can walk right to security, get checked and get on the bus. Usually the first bus arrives to the gates around 7:10-7:15 as they are opening up the Harbor side.

If you use Toy Story mid morning I’ve heard it gets pretty busy. Security is only open until about 11am over there.

Can vouch for this, last time we parked there (late September) security was a breeze but we ended up waiting longer in the line for a bus than we did in line for any attraction. I think we parked around 9:30am and got into the park about an hour later.

Can you ride the tram without a car? Do they do the security at the lot? Or where do they drop you? Thanks!

It’s a bus. But I believe so (someone correct me if I’m wrong). I’ve seen people walk in from the harbor side where the cars enter. Yes security is at the toy story lot. If you are screened at toy story, the bus will drop you off and you walk right in. If not , they Drop you off and then you get screened, then walk in.
