What time does Main Street open?

How early does Main Street open on normal, 9:00 opening mornings? I have read that Main Street opens before the rest of the park but never saw a time given.

It used to open early, but now they have an "Opening Ceremony" and you can't get in til it's over. Too bad-- it was a great time to get some coffee and a yummy at the bake shop while waiting for them to drop the ropes near the castle!

I think it still depends on crowds, and also on whether the inside of the park is ready.

If there are lots of people waiting in front of the turnstile, they have let people start to go through the turnstiles early but held everyone up in front of the train station. If the space between the turnstiles and the train station gets full, they have let people in to Main St. but not past the barber shop and ice cream parlor at the north end of Main st.

Main Street opens with the rest of the park. When park opening is at 9am, the turnstyles open up at approximately 8:30am and guests proceed into the area in front of the Mickey Floral for the opening show which begins at approximately 8:50am. After Mickey counts down from ten, Guests may then proceed underneath Main Street Station into the park. There is no opening show during EMH mornings.....guests may proceed under the Train Station at 8am on EMH mornings.
