What time do you usually try to check-in at DVC resorts?

<font face="times" size="+0">There's been quite a few posts recently on the topic of late check-ins. That got me wondering what the average time is that DVC members (here on the DIS) tend to check-in.

Please vote for the approximate/average time you usually walk up to the front desk to check-in.

It doesn't matter whether your room is ready or not, this poll is just for gauging what time people actually attempt to check-in.

We usually arrive at OKW between noon & 2 p.m. Last Tuesday we arrived at OKW about 12:30 p.m. For the first time since Easter 1996, our room was not ready. I did not even consider asking for a room that was already ready because I request a nonsmoking room either on the first floor or in an elevator building for medical reasons. I figured the room controller already set aside a room for us. I even found out the reason for the "delay" - our carpet was being shampooed. We had no problem waiting until close to 4 p.m. to get into our room.

Our flight usually arrives just before noon, so we usually arrive at OKW by 2:00. We check in and head to Epcot until our unit is ready, and then we head to a grocery store and stock up for the trip.

We try to make it to the check in desk by 10:30 - 11:30 in the morning.

We stay off site the night before since we arrive very late and I can't see using points just to sleep a few hours!

We usually get a flight out of NYC around 11am to noon. By the time the flight arrives in MCO and we get the car rental and drive over to WDW, it's almost 3pm.

So, I answered 3 - 4 pm. But it's more like 2:30 - 3:30pm.

Out of LAX and arrive anywhere between 6am and 7 am. We are usually at WDW in 1/2 an hour after that.

It's just easier for us to travel this way.

Out of Columbus, I can only get there at about 11-12 at the earliest so 12-2 is normal check in for me

We usually arrive at the resort before noon, and check in at the front desk...

Most of the time though the room isn't ready, and we spend a few hours at the pool or on the Boardwalk while we wait...

We normally take an early flight out so we are on property between 10:00 and noon. If the room is not ready, then we are off to MK -- a tradition for us!

It all depends on what flight I can get. Our usual flight leaves between 11:30 & 12:00, which gets us to the resort around 2:30-3:00. There's an earlier one around 9:30 that gets us there around 12:30-1:00 or a later one around 4:00 that doesn't get us there until about 7:00-8:00. I don't like the late one but sometimes thats all we can get for a decent price. We took the late one last month for our stay at OKW and I think it hurt with room selection, we couldn't get a first floor.
