We usually drive all day and stay offsite for 2/3 days. When we check in at Disney it is usually between 8:30 and 10:00 a.m.

I fly in from the West Coast, so I can't get there before 5 PM.

question for those who arrive later (after 5PM) - do you have a problem with your room requests? this is the first year we'll be arriving late - I don't think we'll get to the hotel until 7PM and I'm sooooo worried that we won't have a good room because of it...

Our flights ususally leave around 6 or 6:30am as well, but since we are coming from the West Coast, we still don't check in until after 5pm...

The plane gets in between 10:30 and 11:00. We're at the resort by noon and at a park no later than 12:30...so far that is. Hopefully we'll get in a little earlier this trip.

I always try to leave on the 8 or 9 am flight, which gets me in round 10:30 or 11:30. December, 2002, I got to POR round noon, but had to wait for my room a few hours. That was a first. Usually, I just relax, walk around the resort, go swimming and go to DTD..Thats been my tradition as I usually only have a 5 day park hopper for a 7 day trip.

This time, FTP in October, I should be at the resort WL by 11:30 AM If the room is not ready (which I wont expect) Ill probably leave the luggage and hit a park. My passes start on day 1 arrival so I mind as well use them. Everything is subject to change of course, I like to wing it the first day. I also have PS for Chef Mickey on that night..Yippeee, cant wait to take the boat to the Contemporary.

We are DVC members. Our next trip, as on the past few trips, we are taking a late flight out of Minneapolis, getting in to Orlando around 10pm and staying at the airport Hyatt the first night. We then get up the next morning, maybe have a soak in the pool, get a good breakfast, then check out and go to the car rental place (or sometimes the towncar service place). We then stop for our groceries on the way to the resort, usually checking in around 11-ish. Only once has a room been ready that early for us, but we just store our bags and groceries at bell services, pick up our room keys, then head to the pool, a park or Downtown Disney for the day until our room is ready.

We try to get the first non-stop flight out of Flint Bishop which has our arrival usually between 10-11 am. Due to limited food on the planes these days, our first order of business is usually a lunch PS right after check in. This year we continued a family tradition with lunch at the Prime Time Cafe. Although I am a teacher and have 6 weeks off during the summer, DH has limited vacation days. We try to fit a lot into small vacation breaks.

and we live about 9 hours away. We typically leave about 4:30 a.m. and arrive around 1:30-ish (depending on traffic). We live in NC. We don't do a theme park that day. We check in to our favorite resort, either YC or BC. We have a No Way Jose at Beaches & Cream while we wait for our room. Then, we jump in Stormalong Bay and count our blessings!

Now, if we fly, which we do every now and then we usually take the earliest flight out and arrive around 10:30.

We try to check in as fast as we can get there. We leave our luggage with the concierge or in the luggage storage room to be delivered to our room when our room is ready. When we get back from the parks our luggage has been delivered to our room. It is very convenient and gives us an extra day for our vacation.

We also like to check in early.
This upcoming trip we are checking in TWO DAYS early....
Actually, we added 2 room only days to our FTP because we got such a great deal on a flight from Toronto to Orlando. Our first check in time won't be until after 8pm but we plan on checking out of the ASSp (our room only resort) and checking in at the ASMo (our FTP) before 9am so we can take advantage of our first day at the parks.
