What time do the discounts become available?

Am trying to plan for the coming days--whenever the discounts become available (DisVisa or general public) and am wondering when they say that the discounts are made available as of Oct 8, for example, at what time can you start calling in the morning and get those discounts?
Is it 12:01 am ET or 'normal business hours' (would that be 8 am ET)?

Thanks for your help with this--just trying to get this figured out and hopefully getting it taken care of before work on whatever that day turns out to be.

Would you happen to know what time you can book on-line? Thanks in advance.

As stated above, the phone lines open at 7am. Also, assuming a Disney Visa offer is available early, phone is the only way to book that one. Once the public releases on the 8th, you can book by phone or online.

It may be good to know that the last discount became available online just after midnight, which took a lot of folks by surprise. So come the 8th, it may be good to keep an eye out for that, just in case.

This has been incredibly helpful--thank you for your quick answers!!
Have a magically Disney day!!

How much earlier is the DV release? A day? Two days? more? How do i find out about it? Do i just have to call every day?

Interesting and good to know, thanks! I have a pgk already booked and am hoping to have S/P/D added, so I am thinking this means I will need to haunt the website at midnight in the event the discount comes out then, book a new pkg and then the next day, cancel and / or try to have the money already paid on the existing reservation transferred?

Of course if nothing is released at midnight, then I do the 7am dial...

This is what I'm hoping to do too!

How fast do people expect them to run out of discounted rooms or s/p/d? If it's online and I wait until morning to call, will I likely be out of luck?

We have a package reservation for April and I can make dining reservations tomorrow (Monday). If I do that, and I do what you're doing and make a new package reservation online on Tuesday morning at 12:01, what do I do with my dining reservations? Can I link them to the new package?

If you already have a package they will just modify it and your reservation number stays the same. If you do book online and cancel the old just call dining and have them linked to the new package number.

I always call and I've never had a problem getting a discount, sometimes having to move room types or something but nothing major. Anyone modifying will have to call. You should be fine.

Thank you. I'd rather call than stay up late! But sure don't want to miss out. We are booked in POR in a preferred room.

Thanks! My preference is always to call if there is something to change ( I only started getting comfortable with adding and deleting dining reservations online a couple of months ago. I don't mind doing original reservations online, but was really hesitant about booking a second pkg and then cancelling the first, but was also worried I wouldn't be able to get through Tuesday morning before our resort/rooms sell out.

I really don't know what this process is like. Our trip two times ago was the 4/3 deal at time of booking, last time we wanted RO and were flexible on resorts. This time what I really wanted to do was figure out best deal between SPD and RO, but we're already booked with a pkg that we will get rid of if RO is better. We have four D-adults @ WL currently with regular dining and regular passes, no hoppers or water parks - I don't run numbers well with all the variables and were thinking of trying dining OOP anyway. I have read that the level of resort is the variable that matters.
