what time do the characters apear in the hotels?

any idea what times the characters some out in the hotels?

good question. I think they are there every 2 hours or so, but this varies from hotel to hotel. In santa fe mickey (in May time anyway) was around in the breakfast room around half 10 each day when it was very quiet the sweetest thing happened one day - a tiny cute little toddler was terrified when he first saw mickey, then mickey gave him a hug and the little toddler held mickey's head and kissed him on the nose with a look of wonder on his face! awww.

Anyway getting sidetracked. Best way to check is probably to ask upon checkin

In Santa Fe the characters were in the lobby between 08:00 - 11:30 or 12:00. Character 1 08:00; Character 2 08:30; Character 1 09:00 etc.

so they don't come out late afternoon early evening time?

I am sure I have read somewhere that they are in either the Disneyland Hotel or Hotel New York around 4pm. Can't get search to work at the moment.....

Disneyland Hotel -
Breakfast time they are there for a photo-opportunity outside the Inventions restaurant (plus one or two for autographs) - there are also two or three IN the restaurant walking round

4PM - if you need a break from the parade - go to the main lobby area and wait for the characters to appear at the top of the grand staircase. There are normally 3-4 and the make their way down the staircase to the 'Dancin a Catchy Rhythm' song. They then dance with th children, mess around and pose for photos and autographs. They are there for perhaps 15-20 minutes. But, it is the best quality time my children had one-to-one with characters.
