I'm sorry if this is a duplicate, but I've searched high and low to find a definite answer on this, with no luck...

Southwest tix go on sale tomorrow for our February/March trip. Can anyone tell me what TIME they tend to go on sale? Conflicting info says midnight, 5 a.m., or 10 a.m. We fly on Rapid Rewards points and my experience has always been that booking right away uses the lowest points. But last time I forgot and didn't book until later in the day.

Any help would be appreciated!

Over the past couple of years it has pretty consistently been at about 5:30 a.m. CT.

I've seen them go on sale at different times of the day ..from 6am-2pm EST over the last 10 years.....when I'm waiting to buy tickets......but I'm not buying tickets each time they open up their window so I can't say what time they went on sale each time they open up sales

Sort of true. For a few years it almost always was about 10 a.m. CT but could vary on occasion. As I noted in my previous post, however, every release in the past couple of years has been at about 5:30 a.m. CT with the exception of one release that came out on a Sunday morning.

Thanks for the responses! I ended up calling SW to find out. The rep told me there's no set time. She said it's usually by 8 a.m. central time but could be earlier or later. I think I'm going to get up at 5:00 and hang out on the computer just to be on the safe side!

Two trips ago, I got one-way tix for 5500 points each--by the end of the day they were anywhere between 8,400 and 11,000 points each! They went down for some sales and whatnot but I never saw them anywhere close to 5,500 again. I'll lose a few hours to sleep to get tix for so few points! :thumbsup2 Fingers crossed!

They went up just after 6am EST this morning.....check at 6 not up...checked at 6:10 and was able to,book our flights to,ft lauderdale 2/26-3/2my sons wedding in key largo:cool1:......prices from Long Island were higher 145 than the dates that have been released 112 but I wasn't taking any chances.......the Sunday flights are already up to 162

Like I said I didn't look each time SW opened their booking window to see what time the tickets went on sale.....
when I need flights for certain times that aren't on sale yet that's when I watch the booking window.....was just answering the OP question as to what I've experienced over the last 10 years...not sure how it can be "sort of true" since it was exactly my experience ....today they opened the window a little after 6am EST

Maybe I should have said sort of helpful? It is true that over the past 10 years the window has been at various times. It's just more helpful to know what they have been doing more recently vs. 10 years ago.
