What time do shops close and other questions.

Is it like WDW, where shops close one hour after the parks close? Trying to book our Mears van time back from IOA, and I'd like to stay the maximum time.

Also, can you get in line 5 minutes to closing and still get on the ride like at Disney?

And finally, what time should we get there to be in parks the minute they open?

This is our first trip to IOA, so I just don't know anything!

Here is what I have found out since we arrived on Wed. At Ollivanders, they will close the line so the last group will finish up around 9. That is what we were told on Wed. eve when we did Ollivanders. The wait was a lot better at night too! We plan on going over and try things again his evening, they are open until 10 tonight and Sat. There are more people here vs yesterday and Wed. I don't know about FJ because we did that about 30 minutes before park closing on Wed. We will try that tonight and I will let you know.

We did the extra early hour Thurs. morn because we are staying on site, yes it was less crowded at that time. It is very busy but I have found that early or later is the best time to visit HP!

If you are already in line prior to park closing, you may ride.

the two major stores closes when the last person leaves..........
meaning, they do stay open more than one hour after the park closes.

same for rides.
if you are in the line prior to it closing, you will be able to ride it.

in october during hhn, the park closed at 2 am.
the ones in line still were able to ride.
my friend got on the ride at 3 am.........
