What time do I Need to arrive at Airport?

It has been a long time since I flew to the US from a Canadian Airport. My flight leaves Ottawa at 5:50 am and then we transfer in Montreal to Orlando.. so where to I pass thru customs?? What time should I arrive at the airport?

I would check your airline's website. We fly Air Canada out of Toronto, and the recommended check-in time is 90 minutes for flights to the US. Although we're so excited to get to Disney we usually end up at the airport 2 hours before flight time!

I will be calling for sure.. just hoping that maybe because it is such an early fight that we do not have to arrive 2 hours early... I cannot see the Ottawa airport being busy at 5:50 am on a Tuesday

I live in Ottawa as well and I always make sure to be there at least two hours before;you never know what can happen.You will still do security here and then customs in Montreal.We "usually" did the ottawa-toronto-orlando route,not always by choice{we were switched to AC from a booked United flight last time}but found it easier to do customs here and not have to bother with the luggage again.
