Im just trying to figure out what time the new seatings are at. I was under the impression the first was at 5:30 and the second was at 7:45. But I received an email reply from DCL stating different times…

“Currently onboard the Disney Wonder, Main dining is at 5:45 pm and Second Dining
is at 8:00 pm. The revised dining times are scheduled to continue through
October 3rd. Our records indicate, you are scheduled for the second seating.

We look forward to the chance to sail with you soon.

Sincerely,”

Uhh, that is strange, the seating times for the TEST through September are at 5:30 and 7:45.

What sailing are you on?

We are on the 9/22 Wonder sailing. I thought 7:45 for us too, so I emailed DCL just to confirm and magically these different times appeared in the reply email!

Interesting! I was just on the Wonder and late dining was at 7:45; perhaps they are adjusting the times forward 15 minutes for the rest of the test. The early dining time was really TOO early for most folks.

HI! We are sailing October 6th, and I was told by a DCL reservationist that our seating is 8pm. Hope this helps!
Have a great time!!!!!

jimininy...interesting because the letter the origional poster received said the trials were through Oct. 3rd. Maybe they have extended the trial again and are trying different times. 5:30 is just too early!

You will know when you get there. We sailed 8/17 and the trial period for 5:30 was to be over. Called DCL 1 week before sailing and was told early was at 6:00. When we boarded the time was listed as 5:30. 5:30 is too early, we didn't change and now I am sorry we didn't. 1st night is a rush because of the sailaway party and CC day with the children's program, unless you want to give up some beach time is also bad.

That reiterates what a cm at DCL told me on Saturday when I inquired. She stated our cruise (9/28) was on the amended dining times and our early seating would be at 5:45pm. She said our cruise was showing a 5:45 early seating and possibly they were moving the trial times by 15 minutes.

It really puts us in a quandary as 6 is fine, 5:30 is too early and 5:45 is iffy.

Sounds like they are reacting to some of the feedback. Many have said earlier is OK but not as early as 5:30. Maybe they are tweaking to see what works best. We prefer late seating and that won't change. But, I think I like 7:45 or 8:00 better than 8:30. I think they are moving in the correct direction.

I think they are trying. I too agree that 8:00 is much better than 8:30. 8:30 is just TOO late. I like eating later, but with my 13month old, it might be too late. If they move it up to 8:00 we could probably swing that--especially since we would see the earlier shows. Going to the shows after the 6:00 dinner with a sleepy child would NOT be fun--we would miss out on most of the shows.

I hope they keep the 8:00 or 7:45 late time. And 5:45 isn't too bad either--only 15 minutes earlier than before.

Yep, they have revised the REVISED times and for now dining is at 5:45 and 8:00 pm. :)

Hi
I just went to the DCL site to see if they updated the times.
The page now says 5:30p and 7:45p.
Maybe that is what they have said right along, and they haven't updated the new new revised times?whew..............
I have never looked the times up on the WEB so I am not sure!
I am just going to show up when I smell the food. LOL :jester:

I like that line "I am just going to show up when I smell the food."

Probably the most sensible thing to do!!!:smooth:

Have a happy!

Does anyone know if they are still calling these new times a trial, or are they now permanent? It seems like they keep stretching out the "trial" time longer and longer. If it becomes permanent, I may want to change mine to late - so if anyone hears anything let us know!!
thanks!

The Wonder went to 5:45 (main) and 8pm (late) this cruise. It is still being said that it's a trial. My opinion is that if they get favorable response it will become permanent.
