We own at BWV and are heading down in February. Last year we bought 7 day hopper plus, and now my knds are old enough to need there own tickets. I was going to head to the local Disney Store and buy tickets, as I did last year with our tickets and get the discount. Is that discount still available? Or, should I wait until January and buy the tix?

Here is a little advice for someone going to WDW at least once a year.Buy annual passes. If you buy passes at WDW in Feb.and use them for the 7 days this year, then next year plan your vacation at least 1 week earlier than this year. Now you just got 14 days out of your pass.Plus if you are lucky you can slip a mini trip in here or there, because now you have no passes to buy and if you have points left no room to pay for. :cool1:

If you received a discount at the Disney Store last year it had to be by mistake. Tickets aren't supposed to be discounted there. I agree that your best bet is now the AP with the huge DVC discount. If not the AP, start reading up on all of the new ticket offerings that will be available on January 2.

As noted, the AP may be your best option if you can go back within a year. For the minor parks also, you may need the PAP. But you could certainly look at one of a couple of other options. You could buy a pass simply for your trip that expires then decide whether to add park hopping and/or plus options. OR you could buy a pass with the idea of using it next trip. In which case buying the 10 day adding non expiring then any other options that may interest you like the plus options and pool hopping. Compared to the old 7 day plus passes, you're in a slightly better position with the new 7 day with all the options added and in a better per day cost with the 10 day. Remember that DVC members will get a significant discount on AP and PAP come 2 Jan.
