What things must you do in Disney World at least once?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'll give it a shot. What are some of the things that every person must see/do in Disney World? I've been there a few times, but there's always things that I didn't have time for, or didn't care for at the time. I went a couple of years ago, and was able to do some things that I had never done before such as the Hoop Dee Do Review (Loved it!), and going on Space Mountain (Loved that too!). I'm planning on going back in October, and want to try to do as many "Must Do" things at Disney World. I know one of the things is taking pictures with characters, and then only time I did that was when I was like 6(Took pictures with Chip, and Flower). I'm gonna be going solo, and I feel a little awkward taking pictures with characters, but who cares! LOL. What other things should I definitely do when I'm there?

Did that 2 years ago. I thought it was great. It was at the show that I found out about "First Family" being picked. I kinda wish they would pick single people to do that as well!

Well, a must do for me is Splash Mountain since it is my absolute favorite ride. My other must do is Hoop Dee Doo, which you've already mentioned. Watch the parades, take in some streetmosphere, watch the trolley show. These are the little touches that make the magic at Disney for me.

  • Hoop Dee Doo Revue
  • Watch the Magic Kingdom Welcome Show at rope drop
  • All of the best known Magic Kingdom rides (Splash, Space, Big Thunder, 7 Dwarfs, Small World, etc)
  • Three Caballeros ride in Epcot's Mexico pavillion, followed by dinner in the Mexico pavillion (they had ample walk-up availability when I was there.)
  • Spaceship Earth
  • Wishes

1. Morning EMH at AK.!!! We usually hit Everest, and ride for that hour. Last trip we broke our record of 7 and got on 8 times in a row!

2. Getting a Mickey rice crispie treat from Goofy's Candy Co. I get mine with milk chocolate dip, peanut butter chips, and dark chocolate drizzle. It takes 3-4 days to eat the whole thing! So good!

3. Taking the monorail to Epcot. There is something about going through Epcot on the monorail before walking through the gates that I love!

Watch Wishes, this is my most favorite thing.
Stay until close at MK.
We must ride RNRC, Soarin, Splash, and Everest.
Eat at the restaurants, this is also one of our favorite things.
We are doing Hoop Dee Doo first time this coming trip!

I second the monorail from MK to Epcot!
Dinner in World Showcase...
Main Street Electrical Parade
Peter Pan

Great idea! Why do they always exclude single people from this? They could have a First Family and a First Solo Person.

1. Ride the monorail just for the fun of it; get off and explore the resorts, take in the views, etc. The monorail is an attraction in and of itself for me.

2. Morning EMH at AK. Hit the Safari early while the animals are still out and active then head for the other do not miss attractions.

3. Night EMH at MK. Arrive in time to see Wishes - my personal favorite of all shows/parades. Afterwards, take advantage of shorter wait times. Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Pirates, etc.

4. If time permits, we try to dedicate a full afternoon to World Showcase. So much to see and do (and so many beers to drink, if you're so inclined.)

5. This one is more of a personal thing, but we always make time one evening to get over to POR and see Yehaa Bob. Very entertaining if you are into live music.

The kiss goodnight at MK! Everybody floods out to the buses right away, so I like to wait and listen to the kiss goodnight in front of the castle.

Eat at Vicky and Al's at the Grand Floridian. Save up and take your best girl/guy! Totally worth it!

1. Fireworks dessert party.
2. Illuminations at R n C
3. Wishes from California Grill.
4. Water Pagent from Poly...althoughtnot sure anymore due to new construction.
