Just looking through my cupboards and realized I've got junk in there I never use.

Never use baking powder. I also never use wax paper. Why are they still hanging around???

What do you have in your kitchen that's collecting dust?

the stove ;)
(just kidding... I actually do use it when I have too.)

My blender and bread machine are feeling very alone!
Maybe I should set them closer together on the counter.

Hey! That was my exact thought when I read the question! Except in my case it's true! LOL!

I use baking powder and wax paper.

I thought you were talking abou appliances..

Lets see... I never use the remaining envelope of Thai Hot and Spicy Cup a Soup. The first one was nasty, so I haven't gotten the courage to try the other one yet.

Appliance wise, I use them all.

I hardly ever use the leaf in the table if that helps

Not too close, or you might end up with a baby hand mixer.:p

Krups espreso/cappucino machine

We got it for a wedding gift and I have never used it for anything but regular coffee when we have company (which is rarely).

What kitchen?

There's a KITCHEN in my house?

:p

True story. When my daughter was 10 we were planning to make a packaged cake mix. I got out the beater/hand mixer and DD said in a VERY surprised voice...."WOW! What's THAT thing?"

Yeah, I guess my 'never used' item would have to be the hand mixer. LOL

In our house, if I open the box or the can, it's homemade!

Sadly, but I just had to have a vegetable steamer years ago; convinced I would steam all our lovely greens while preserving all the color and vitamins. Alas...I have used it once:rolleyes:

Also, a potato masher (I use the electric mixer) and apple slicer (we just eat them whole) collect a whole lotta dust in my drawer.

Marble rolling pin we received as a wedding gift...well, I did use it to prop the door open when we were moving into our first condo...the thing weighs a TON!

Pam

I always thought it was kinda weird that my SIL gave that to us...y'know, with the old stereotype of the wife running after the husband weilding a rolling pin...;)

I used to use my bread machine, but since I got my KitchenAid mixer, it just collects dust.

I thought I'd use my Crock Pot, but I never do.

I have a really expensive saute pan that is supposed to be the greatest thing, but I don't like it at all! I use the old, cheap Silverstone one I've had forever instead. My husband can't stand it! He works for a large housewares/linens chain, and it is his job to teach employees how to use and sell these expensive pots and pans- and his own wife won't do it!

I'd have to say the Taz popcorn popper that the kids just had to have one christmas, the 2nd steamer that DH bought me cause he forgot he had gotten me one the year before, and the electric grill since I now use my cast iron stove top grill.

Hmm... sounds like a garage sale is coming up at my house in the near future.:)

How about crystal? We have some good crystal that VERY rarely gets used. It's much easier to grab one of the McD's Disney glasses that we have a zillion of.

We also have an automatic iced tea maker that actually makes real good tea. We haven't had a desire for iced tea in ages and it just collects dust now.

I have used my crockpot exactly once in the whole time I've had it. I use the heck out of my blender and toaster. The electric knife and the mini-food processer don't see much action either. It's quicker for me to chop by hand and throw the cutting board in the dishwasher than to take that thing apart and clean it.

A cake tester. I tend to use toothpicks for such things.

A honey server. I don't eat honey.

There are surely several other items I don't really use, but those were the first two to come to mind.

it's been my toaster. Time to move it to the pantry. We've been on South Beach diet since May 3rd and I don't use it any more.

Food Processor, Bread Machine, Crock Pot and good dishes, hey sit there for years and just take up space!!

1. coffee grinder. We just use the already ground stuff.
2. My KitchenAid Mixer. I love it, but I have limited counter space so I can't keep it there. And it's heavy! And I have no space in the kitchen, so I have to keep it in the basement, and I have to go down there to get it. So I just use my hand mixer instead.
3. Food processor. I used to use it all the time--made cole slaw, etc. But lately, I've been lazy and I buy packaged graham cracker crumbs, cole slaw either in the deli or the packaged stuff you add dressing to, etc. so I just don't use it.
4. Rolling pin--I don't make things that need to be rolled out.
