What the deal with Barbie

Yesterday my dd was, what I thought talking in her sleep. She said the Barbie she wanted was $3.
I woke her a bit and she said that there was a special Barbie out for $3 for a week?

They were selling out and could she get one? By now everything is closed, and I am not going running around...
So on Toy's R Us online I found them, $3.00, with shipping at $5.94 and tax it came to $20.00 for 4 of them...No idea why she wanted 4.

I ask, and she says, "Oh to sell them." Okay, we will go with that
I just can't figure out what it is? Barbies Birthday, it is not the Easter Barbie, I put that one aside already.

Anyone know what's the deal?

It's Barbie's birthday and she has a new style. They are sold out online now.

Also, Saturday, is a Barbie Mermaid Party at TRU for the release of Barbie in a Mermaid Tale. There will be activities and the TRU email included a $2 off coupon for the movie.

Oh, guess it was good to get it ordered. lThere were a few left at Target stores from what some of her connections told her last night.

The doll is only $3 and only worth about that....very cheap made from what I reviewed. I guess it is the novelty of it....

Barbie Superstar Barbie Doll

At Christmas I got her the remake of the original 1950's Barbie. Some of the black/white and pink costum's.

She is 14 but still loves a great Barbie....so happy to finally have a Disney one.

Me, I still go ga ga over a Barbie Doll!

I just left walmart and they were stocked with them! They were on an end unit and there was at least 3 dozen left. I got a few to hold for future presents

I didnt get this one but got a great deal at Kohls this noontime for the NEW Barbie Mermaid Dolls on Sale for $4.99 each!!! My daughter has been wanting one and I am going to surprise her with it tonight!!!

We bought the Barbie and it is definitely a lower-quality. Her legs are harder plastic than the pricier dolls. But my daughter is thrilled with her and she is cute. Target had loads of them...

Not the $3 Barbie, but we swung by Target yesterday to grab the new movie. It was $12.99 and came with a free $5 Barbie (there was about 5 to choose from). Then DD saw the barbie who's the movie tie-in on sale and it also came with a free $5 barbie. I'm glad we didn't see the $3 doll or she'd probably have grabbed that one too. It's in this week's ad, so I'm guessing the deal ends Saturday.
