its looking like a hot week!

I guess about 77. Last month's electric bill was $278...

Electronic thermostat is set for 77 day/78 night.

Our AC been on for 2 weeks. Bill's gonnna be high, but I'm not complaining.

herc.

We have our electric bill set on average. It is $155 dollars (give or take a dollar or two) all year long so that way we can run it during the summer and not have to worry about a $400 dollar bill. We usually set it on 72 during the day and 68 at night. Now if it gets really hot during the day I'll put it down on 65 then John will come in and gripe at me...LOL!

we don't pay for utilities so we usually keep ours between 65-68.

We keep ours at 75 in the daytime; any cooler than that and I'd freeze. Since we live in Colorado, and the nights really cool down, we open a few windows and run the attic fan at night. Also the overhead fan in my bedroom runs all night.

I keep the a/c at 74 or 72 in the Summer

During the Winter, heat is set at 68-72 (65 at bedtime)

I have to have it cold or I get sick. During the day, I think it's set about 74/75. At night, though, it's either 68 or 70. If I'm at home during the day,I have to keep it at 70 as well or I get sick because I'm too hot. I just don't handle heat well.

I keep mine at a lovely 72-74 during the day and at night it HAS to be at least 70 for me to sleep.....

Just turned mine on about an hour ago. The sun is actually out today and it's feeling like summer!

Not sure if it is set for 72 or 74 because we have a digital programed thermostat. At night I believe it is set for 75 because the kids get too cold. Me and DH have a ceiling fan in our room if we need to add to it, but normally if he's hot he just turns it down. He refuses to be warm as his profession is HVAC and when he comes home he refuses to be the one who is uncomfortable. Guess I cannot blame him, he's spent his day making everyone else in the plant cool.

Just need to be careful not to put it too low when temps are really high. Can make your system freeze up and then there is no a/c at all! Most systems are only sized for about a 20 degree difference. I know last year when we were nearing 100 degrees I was complaining that it was only down to 76 degrees during the hottest part of the day and darling husband defended his a/c saying that was all it was designed to do. Very important to change filters yearly, especially if you have a pet. Our neighbors a/c went out last year during our heat wave and it was because all the fur got into the system from not changing the filter and they had to wait for it to "unfreeze" before it could be turned back on.

Ok-that's my a/c lesson for today!
Enjoy and keep cool.

A/C is set for 76. I try to keep it turned off and the windows open whenever I can, which is not too often since East Tennessee is so humid.

Edited to add that I would have to wear a sweater in many of your houses, as well as sleep with a down comforter!

We keep ours at 74, maybe a degree or two cooler when it gets above 80 or so outside. We have ceiling fans in nearly every room.... they run 24/7.

We keep ours at 77 in the daytime and 76 at night. I'm hoping that we don't get temperatures over 110 again this year because the bills are going to be outrageous if we do!

73 during the day and 69 at night. The thermostat is on the first floor and the bedrooms upstairs can be 5 degrees higher in the summer.

We keep our's at 74-76. The main floor is comfortable, the upstairs bedrooms are a little warm, and the basement family room is freezing (or as my husband loves to tell me - "you could hang meat down there").

At 74-76, our highest electric bill last summer was $120. Not bad.
:D

We keep our A/C on 74. I would like to have it cooler, but DW would freeze.
