What strange things do you talk about at the dinner table?

I swear my family has some of the strangest conversation at the dinner table. Last night we had a conversation about why pea's get cold so fast. I am not kidding when my DH started talking about heat transfer. Apparently the wrinkles in the pea act as heat sinks and the heat doesn't stay very long.

Please tell me we are not the only family to talk about the wierdest stuff at the table.

When my in laws come to visit, and we go out to dinner...it never fails that at least once during the visit, the conversation will got to talking about our "movements" or something to that effect...We joke about it everytime.

We have some pretty strange conversations but I've overheard pretty funny things at the restaurant I work at.

One funny thing:
As guy is sitting with his wife/partner/girlfriend/something and he goes to her "Is pubic hair always curly?" Like that's proper dinner conversation.

Well...my mom was a wound care specialist at a hospital for many years....Let's just say I've heard everything about anything that could possibly come out of open wounds (the colors, scents, consistencies, etc)...and then there's the fact that during my years working at the hospital I got to watch surgery fairly often...But I could see having the pea conversation with my boyfriend. We think like that sometimes too.
