What store do you like purchasing your kids clothes from?

I've only been buying clothes for a few months, but so far I like Baby Gap, The Children's Place, H&M, and Babies R Us. I can also usually find stuff at Target and Kohl's too. I hate to say it, but I don't like Gymboree - I can never find anything there. Maybe if I had a girl. I'm not a big fan of Old Navy's infant boy clothes either. Once he's older I'm sure I'll shop there more.

Having a 16 year old is tough, Abercrombie, (only on sale) American Eagle, and Hollister. If we watch the sales, we are ok.

My kids also really like Hollister. The first one is opening in Canada this winter!

That's good to know. I haven't seen a Justice anywhere so next time we are at MOA I will have to look there. Which direction are you from MOA, we are in the SW part of the state.

We are pretty close to straight south. We're about 10 miles off of I35. Hoping to hit Justice this sunday!

I buy most of the their clothes at consignment sales where I get Gap, Gymboree, Carriage Boutique, etc. at a great discount. I also shop end-of-season sales at Hecht's (which is getting ready to become Macy's so bye-bye good deals), Kids R Us (love the KRU brand), Old Navy, Target and Children's Place. I can't recall a time I've ever bought clothes brand new, full price. I am cheap like that. :teeth:

My 8 yr old DD: Limited Too, Childrens Place, Gap, JcPenny for their jeans.

My 11 yr old DD: Pac Sun, Abercrombie, Gap

my 14 DS we get his clothes from gap, american eagle, hot topic

9dd gets hers from limited 2, gap, kohls

I get most of their underwear from target because I am not paying what these other stores want for a pair of socks or boxers.

Ohhh that sounds great-I've never even heard of them!

This year I got my son a bunch of stuff at Kohls', and have been searching and searching for DD.
Children's Place-blech! I shopped there so much when she was a baby and toddler, but I can't stand 90% of the stuff for the older girls. Still some cute stuff for DS there.

Went to Gymboree-nothing I liked except a pink skirt, but didn't like the shirt that went with it).
Gap-nothing except a belt,
ON, I liked a pair of pink pants, DD didn't seem enthused, and I know from experience that that means it sits in her drawer never worn.
Macy's-nothing
Target-nothing
Sears-nothing
Limited Too-a dress for the first day of school.
Went to JCPenney today and got her the cutest jeans with a pink scarf belt and hearts all over the cuffs. Also got her 3 shirts and DS 3 shirts.
I am hitting the OshKosh outlet in Orlando when we go on vacation. I always find stuff for DS there and usually a couple of things for DD.

It's hard-when DD was a baby/toddler I found more cute clothes than I could possibly ever buy!

There is a store called "Hartstrings" in that same outlet mall in Orlando that has CUTE stuff for girls. You can also find it on Ebay I'm sure.

I know EXACTLY what you mean.Buying clothes is a nightmare. The best I have found is Limited Too because so much of their stuff has elastic all the way around but is not babyish.I just hate the prices.

For all of you Gymboree fans, there is a sale going on today thru this Sunday I believe called Buy More Save More. Spend $50, get $10 off; $100, get $25 off; $150, get $50 off. Pretty good deal, esp if you are buying already discounted items!

DD 12 likes Abercrombie , Aeropostal , & Hollister then for shoes she only wants Nike shox ( I don't know how many pairs she thinks she needs .. Because she always wants a new pair different color.. LOL )
Whoa! Nike Shox aren't cheap either! How many pairs does she have?

I like purchasing from Kohls, Target, Old Navy and Goodwill.

THEY like purchasing from Abercrombie, Pac Sun, and Hot Topic.

Did anybody else see that article in the last Money Magazine about the Gymboree Shopping addict that has pretty much bankrupted their family with Gymboree "deals?"

I agee -- totally love the adjustable waistbands. DS is very trim with short legs. His 3T Osh Kosh jeans that I bought last fall still have enough room to last into this fall (on loosest setting) and I just bought 4 pr of 4T Levis jeans (on sale at Kohls) that fit him right now on the tightest setting with the legs cuffed up.

Since the Osh Kosh jeans are getting a little worn, DS'll be wearing them to preschool at the children's gym (he always comes home dirty after 4 hours playing in the sandbox, children's playland, running obstacle courses, and eating PB&J) and I'll have him wear the new jeans when we go out and I don't want him looking like a ragamuffin.

I love getting 1 year of use out of jeans!

I never heard of this! I'll have to look for some for my DS. My DS is tiny and I often have to roll his pants to fit him. lol. He just turned two buy still fits in 18-24 month stuff. He has some 24 month things but they are big on him.

Yes, that article was something else!! DH and I were really cracking up over it when we read it, because we can't understand how anyone could get "addicted" to a children's clothing store. It's really not funny, though, because her family finances are a mess as a result.

That woman spent $400-800 a day on Gymboree. When she couldn't get into the store, she would spend all day buying it online. Why couldn't she have been my customer? ;)

We have women like her though, they come in daily to check the sale rounders and talk about hiding their purchases from their husband and getting cash out rather than him seeing a Gymboree purchase. We recently moved our store after renovating and the phone lines were not transferred properly by Sprint. Well, women were in a panic trying to reach us. Calling other stores and asking THEM if they knew if we had such and such in a size 7. One woman got a hold of my store manager on his personal cell phone to ask him for a size!!!! I think some Gymboree shoppers are the craziest out there. I've had women fight over the last pair of leggings on the first morning of Gymbucks. It is incredible.

Here are the ones I just bought for DS: http://www.kohls.com/products/produ...OLDER<>folder_id=27925627&bmUID=1123779883941

I think I ended up paying around $13 a pair, which is pretty good for Levis.

The waist adjusts on the inside with elastic on each side with slits for different waist sizes and a button that fits through the slits. Want a tighter fit? Pull the elastic and place the button through one of the tighter settings. Readjust as your child grows. Wonderful -- don't have the look of elastic pants and don't have to convince DS to wear a belt.
