We are thinking of leaving soon for Orlando, unexpected and unplanned. When doing the priceline name your price what star option is best? Around universal it only goes to 3 1/2 but seaworld and more than likely Disney you get 4*. I want a nice comfortacle clean place to sleep 4.
Thanks

You might want to try hotwire as price line only guarantees double occupancy so you could get a room with a king sized bed. Hotwire allows you to set occupancy.

Obviously the higher star the better, I've see stayed in 3 star and 2 1/2 star properties that were fine. With a little legwork you can often determine the hotel based on amenities and SOME hotwire hotels have free cancelation within 24 hours if you don't like the hotel.

Did you really figure yours out?

i would have no idea from the amenities listed. REcently used hotwire.

Is it guaranteed ? No. Can you narrow it down considerably, yes. There are websites that instruct you on how to go about figuring it out as well as ways to maximize your bidding strategies. if you want them PM me, I'm affiliated with neither. For orlando, because a lot of the hotels/resorts have many of the same amenities it can get a little dicey but for other cities you can very often know what the hotel is likely to be. The problem is that if you are wrong you either have to stay at a place you didnt want, or eat the cost. I used to use priceline/hotwire and I'd say 7or 8 times out of 10 I could tell the hotel, and the times I was wrong the hotel was just as good so it was not much of a loss.

There is also a hotwire/priceline winning bid thread that can give you an idea of what was accepted and what was not but that changes by availability, just because someone got hotel X for $57 dollars yesterday does not in anyway guarantee that you will get the same hotel if you bid 57.
