What special things are there to do at DLR?

We are WDW vets and I know all the ins/outs of planning a trip there. where to eat, special little things, etc. Things that make a trip special.

but even tho I have been to DL many times I want to see if there are any new little things to do or try that we have missed. We have also been to So Cal many many times...so have done all the LA stuff pretty much too. but not in many years.

We have done Fantasmic Dessert package in the past. We are not that into character meals. so...

what other special things are you planning for your trip???

I am thinking that the picnic with WOC may be fun?

do you go anywhere offsite that is special to your family? a restaurant?

just looking for fun and new ideas since I am not a Dland veteran.

Ride the Lily Belle car on the DLR RR (have to ask to ride, and not always running)

Eat breakfast at CC and meet Oscar (he's been there 54 years!)

I always take the time to recommend seeing both Billy Hill and the Hillbillies and The Laughing Stock Co. at the Golden Horseshoe. They play on different days. The shows are funny, we all loved them.

I have heard that sometimes you can ask to "steer" the Mark Twain/to ride in the wheelhouse. It never hurts to ask! You get a certificate for that too.

We actually got a "magical moment" for this show and special seating on our last DL trip in July 2008 but we were leaving that day and couldn't make the show...boo hoo...and we actually got approached byt the DREAM TEAM and everything

Yes, CC = Carnation Cafe. We met Oscar in December just a day or two before his 54th anniversary working at DLR!! He still comes in every morning to work breakfast but "leaves lunch and dinner to the younger guys"!

Oh yes! Always see Billy Hill. I was sad to miss it on our December trip, I hear they have a special Christmas show.
