Because of the weather and long dark days - I haven't been out at all. I did a half yesterday and despite being very winded and out of the breath most of the race (I had taken a Tylenol before and feeling a cold hanging on me) I did set a pr - yeah!
I have been doing Insanity workouts and they are great for the lower body...but of course they cannot train you for a race. I really am over the treadmill. I think I am still not over the fact that I did 23.2 miles on the thing back in Dec to prep for the Dopey - and I am having a really hard time even doing a mile on it! I want to go out but I cannot.
So aside from Insanity - which is great...it wont help me run faster, maybe stronger but not faster.
What do you guys do to prep?
