Whatever you feed the child at home should work in the park.

Well, I too am wondering the same thing.... Our little one is going to be 24 months when we go....
here are some ideas we have so far... maybe others have more!

nutrigrain bars
baggies of...
cheerios, fruit loops, honey combs ( any of those little finger foods)
small bags of chips, pretzels
dehydrated fruit mix
someone told me theat they take frozen water bottles in, which we already planned on... but then they said that for the kids, they take in baggies of sugar added koolaid, and add it to the water bottles, when the kids get tired of water! Just dont take red (pics :))
anyone have more ideas?????

At home he eats lots of fresh vegetables (carrots, green beans, broccoli, etc.) and what I am cooking. This will be a little different for him eating out constantly. I don't want to be feeding him chicken nuggets, french fries and pizza for 10 days straight. Childrens menus are so boring. I guess he will be eating off our plates most of the time.

Raisins
Animal Crackers
Cheerios
Minute Maid juice boxes
Banana chips
Nutri-grain bars
Pretzel sticks
Raisin Bread
Pop top tuna? (maybe too messy)

And for Mom and Dad:
Bottled water
Nestea liquid concentrate

Our 17-month-old loved those single-serving boxes of cereal (Golden Grahams, Cheerios, etc.). They were handy and held up well in the backpack, plus most were reasonably nutritious. They made great snacks. For meals he would eat off our plates and/or I'd bring him a PB&J on whole wheat. Each day we'd pay the $$ for fresh watermelon cubes or grapes in the park; he loved that too and it was worth the money to me to get some fresh fruit in him!

I think the fresh fruit is a great idea. I'd rather spend $1.00 or more for a whole banana or fruit salad. I also remembered that he loves applesauce in those handy little snack packs. I think he'll be fine, I'm just the worrier because I don't want to create bad eating habits. :D

Cheerios, cheerios, cheerios... My two DDS love Cheerios! They are very easy to take into the parks with you. We also bring pretzels and raisins.

Have a great trip!

It looks on the box like they are small. I will also get applesauce cups, cheerios, mini muffins, snack bars, and whatever else I can find at the FL supermarket.

We always get the Buzz, Mickey, and Princess Fruit snacks. They are really good and fun shapes. Different subject but I also take a little bottle of bubbles( the kind you would get at a wedding) for waiting on the parade entertainment for my little one.

I took mini marshmallows and chew granola bars. Honestly he was so involved with the daily routine he didn't care to snack. We did eat breakfast, lunch and dinner each dinner. This helped because we didn't have to carry so much during the day.

The snacks sound good but be careful that you don't throw off the old digestive system with too much fiber if you catch my drift. I find with drink boxes that are 100% fruit juice it affects my toddler . You sound like you do a great job with nutrition, one week is not going to ruin your childs eating habits. If you don't have junk in the house when you get home he or she can't eat it right !

Gerber graduates has lots of healty choices in easy to carry containers. They have fruit and vegtable cubes, meat sticks, pata dinners, and all sorts of snacks. They have the toddler fruit snacks too and they unlike the kid ones are made with fruit juice. I would feed him off my plate most places and then suppilment with your own food and snacks. Don't forget that many sit down places can get you things not on the menu such as a scoop of cottage cheese or a bowl of apple sauce. Buffets should be good options too and they are free for the little one.
