What side of ship for NY cruise

I am just curious which side for the cruise up the Canadian cruise

My guess would be port as it's going north. Of course the inside is always nice, especially if the weather is chilly

The most amazing sight for me on our Canadian cruise in 2012 was when we were pulling back into NYC the morning of debarkation, we were up before dawn and we saw from our balcony the amazing view, I was still in my PJ's, I threw on a blanket and we ran up to deck 10.
OMG, the view of the city all lit up was just breathtaking.
I wanted to crawl in a hole when I saw all the people out there with the same idea and I was out in Pj's and a blanket.
If you do this cruise, try to get up there and see it, its just amazing.

YES! I woke up early and was able to see this- one of the unexpected highlights of our cruise. We were starboard and were able to see the Statue of Liberty from our balcony on the way out.
