We definitely want to see Fantasmic, love it! World of Color we weren't impressed with because we couldn't see anything over all the people in front of us. Are there any other shows that are great? We don't want to waste any of our 3 days unless it's worth it. Someone mentioned a Rapunzel show?

Aladdin. Aladdin. Aladdin.

Hands down the best stage show. Totally worth taking an afternoon (busiest time of the day in disney) and enjoying the AC while watching the show. We saw this around the kids standard nap time so that they could slow down and rest a little.

Fantasmic, for sure. We loved World of Color but managed to get an amazing spot. Mad T Party was just okay for us.

Hoping to see Aladdin next time we go!

WOC is an amazing show if you invest the effort to get a good viewing spot. Your experience is all too common bu avoidable with research and effort. I continue to be surprised by folks who pots on this form that it is not hard to a get spot for WOC and they s how up 15 minutes before the show and can always see fine. Your experience is more the norm.

Is there a way to get good seats to Aladdin?
Yes. Just walk in. All the seats are pretty good. The get the very best seats arrive 30 minutes before the show.

Aladdin is an amazing show! It's in a beautiful, air conditioned theater with comfortable seats. Grab a snack and get in line 30 minutes before the show starts and you can pick your seats. If you choose the Mezzanine level, don't sit two close to the rail, it will be in your view.

Honestly we have been in every section and have yet to have a bad seat. We have arrived 45 minutes to 20 minutes before and have had equal opportunities. Even on the lower level you still get a good view of the flying carpet scene :)

This summer I'm looking forward to seeing these relatively new shows for the first time:

  • Mickey and the Magical Map
  • Tangled and Beauty and the Beast shows at Fantasy Faire

Like everyone else, I highly recommend Aladdin. The Genie is HILARIOUS! If you want the main level, get there early. I thought 20min would be early enough and I was lucky to get nose bleed seats on the very top balcony, but I could still see the stage really well. My son is afraid of heights, so next time we go we will need to get there super early to ensure main level seating.

The Rapunzel Show (actually called Tangled at DLR) is at Fantasy Faire and is FANTASTIC! Really cute and funny. You should probably get there about 15-20min early because it's a really small theatre. They also do Beauty and the Beast and I've heard that Tangled is the 1st 3 shows of the day and B and the Beast is the last 3 shows.

I enjoyed Mickey and the Magical Map as well. No need to get there early, I walked in 5min before showtime and found a great seat.

Have fun!!

I might just sound like an echo, but definitely Aladdin and Mickey and The Magical Map. While I enjoyed the Rapunzel show I don't think it's quite up to the level of those two.

All of them! I was surprised by how much I enjoyed Mickey and the magical map, and not to be missed are fantastic, woc, and Aladdin!

Fantasmic and Aladdin are our 2 favorite. WOC is also a Great show if you have a good spot. Read the super thread on this and you to can get a great spot. The fireworks from in front of the castle are also very good, but we rarely take the time to get a really good spot for them. As for the others, we feel they are hit or miss.

What time are the Tangled and Beauty and the Beast Shows? Are they inside? Air conditioned?

Can't speak to the times of the B&B and Tangled show, but the theater is not air conditioned. It is covered so there is shade.

Another vote for Mickey and the Magical Map from me! I prefer it over Aladdin.

We just returned from our trip (myself, DH, DS12, DS11). We saw Aladdin, Fantasmic, Mickey and the Magical Map. Everyone's favorite was Aladdin. We walked up minutes before the show and had great seats in the mezzanine. I talked with CM on the way in and he said that is actually his favorite place to sit, but that there is not really a bad seat in the house.
We also enjoyed Fantasmic. Mickey and the Magical Map (outdoor, but shaded, theater) was enjoyable but nothing we would have missed.
Bring earplugs for the shows, especially Fantasmic. It was deafening.

How do you locate a super thread? We had yellow FPs and showed up about 10 mins early and I thought we had a great spot. We're heading back with more family in December and watching WOC is a big part of what I want them to experience. I guess I shouldn't leave it to "dumb luck" again!

Am I the only person that loves "It's Tough to be a Bug" and "Muppetvision 3D"? We can't go to DCA without seeing at least one of them. (Used to love "Honey I Shrunk the Audience" at DL too!):thumbsup2
