What shouldn't I miss at Disney World?

There are always a few things that I will say "Now THAT was worth the price of admission!" Illuminations at Epcot is one, the fireworks at MK another, especially the ones for MNSSHP, and Lion King at AK...but the biggest favour you can probably do is slow down and enjoy the little touches. Fast pass the rides you really want to go on and then don't stress about seeing everything...you'll never do it.

The Lion king show at AK is really worth it. Keep your head on a swivel during the MNSSHP. I almost missed the Queen of Hearts walk right behind me! We love Earl of Sandwich in DTD. Illuminations never gets old for us. Don't forget to just people watch too. Find a nice spot in the shade,and just watch.

We love Mickey's Philharmagic, BTMRR, Buzz Lightyear, Monster's Inc Laugh Floor and Haunted Mansion at MK, Festival of the Lion King and the animal trails at AK, Soarin & Test Track at Epcot. Ohana Breakfast is great, if you have time the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Review is worth every penny. Sea Racers are fun. We like Fantasmic, but not big on HS. We like Beauty and the Beast and Tower of Terror there.

I think for my DD11 and I one of the best things is having a snack and watching people, especially kids, seeing Disney for the first time.

Over 2.5 days worth of daily sodium in a single turkey leg (5,283.5 milligrams of sodium). I'm kidding of course. Not about the sodium...the fact that you should eat those "ham-flavored" shanks.

Here are things hubs and I agree on for a fun, romantic, and relaxing adult getaway:

F&W: Give it a day to really enjoy it, preferably not Fri/Sat/Sun, and take a class that interests you. Take that time to enjoy world showcase performers and shopping. Acrobats in China, Drummers in Japan, and voices of liberty in America are worth the wait.

Epcot (non F&W): Seas, Sum of All Thrills, Restaurant Marakesh (usually walk-in/no ADRs needed), Figment (yep, I said it and yes, the original was better), Soarin, Spaceship Earth.

MK: dapper Dans, people watching, planning only 5 rides but also having a touring plan for back-up

AK/HS: I think you should only plan on one or the other based on your current plans.

Hi there!

I am planning my 2015 October trip.

I am planning on going to the Food and Wine Festival and the MNSSHP at Magic Kingdom.
Tell me what I shouldn't miss out on anywhere in Disney World?? So far we are going to Epcot and Magic Kingdom but I have an extra two days to plan. Not sure how to make the most out of those two days.

In your experience what is your favorite things to do or your favorite places to eat?

definitely don't miss the parade and the fireworks at MNSSHP.

Also for us: Splash Mountain,, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Haunted Mansion, Carousel of Progress. And Dole Whip floats.

Hollywood Studios - Animation Academic drawing class, Toy Story Mania, Tower of Terror, Lights Motors Action stunt show, get a cupcake at the Starring Rolls Cafe (the butterfinger cupcake is my favorite!), dinner at 50s Prime Time cafe

Epcot - Turtle Talk with Crush, Soarin', Test Track, Spaceship Earth (we always do this as our last ride of the night before exiting the park - there is never a line at night), go to the caramel store in Germany, American Adventure show, eat some pastries from the pastry shop in France, soft pretzels from Germany

Magic Kingdom - Big Thunder Mountain, Pirate's, Buzz Lightyear, Peoplemover (we try to stay on for two times around; we do this as an afternoon break from walking around), Peter Pan, Haunted Mansion, eat a few mickey ice cream bars

We go to F&W nearly every year. Only problem being that we never have enough room to eat everything we want!!!! So check out all your stands and plan ahead! I could seriously eat everything in France.

No matter how many times we go, or how long we stay, I don't think you ever do "everything." That said, our family always sits down and has a conference of sorts to determine our top 3 must dos. And we make sure to do those and go from there.

And for MNSSHP, the parade and fireworks are absolutely not to be missed. There are also character opportunities that are unavailable AT ALL during normal park hours, Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs, certain princesses with their prince, etc.

Lol - as MesaBoy said ... Things in China... It's on a huge screen in the round and is narrated by a famous chinese poet. Great panoramas of the Great Wall and such. It is a standing film though ... So don't do it as a rest for your feet!

You have to go on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority (Peoplemover)!! I think you'll really enjoy it. It's a relaxing ride through tomorrowland at MK. It really lets you take in the details of the area.

I would never ever skip AK. So much to do and so much to experience. Also had my best visits with CMs there!
