We are newbies to March in WDW. Always have traveled in April or May. What is the weather like and what should we pack. Will it be shorts weather or jeans? How about swimming? Does it cool off at night, should we bring light jackets?
I want to put summer stuff away but I may just put a suitcase in the bottem of the closet and start tossing things we may need in it. Thanks for the help, these boards are the Bomb(as my two teenage kids would say) ;)
Have a Magical Day!!!

Well, the last two times we went was the 1st week of March. It was a little cool in the morning, but in the afternoon it was in the 70's to 80's. Then it would cool down a bit at night. Kids were able to go swimming. You will be there about 3 -4 weeks after we went so the weather should be pretty nice. But, I would definitely bring a spring coat or sweatshirts with and jeans just in case. We mostly wore shorts when we were there.

We always go the last week of March since that is Spring Break for my kids. The days are warm, usually high 70's, low 80's, but the mornings/evenings can still get chilly. We had an Illuminations Cruise one year and about froze to death out on the water.

So, I would pack plenty of shorts for the day time, but 1-2 pairs of capris/jeans for the evening. Not all evenings are chilly, but there is still that risk. Also, we make due with packing one sweatshirt or light jacket for the mornings and/or evenings.

We swim alot during this week. After the winter in Ohio, we are ready to spend alot of time by the pool and the weather has always cooperated

Have fun!

Thank you for the info, will help with packing! I was going to put away summer clothes but now I will throw them in a suitcase bottem of the closet!
I am glad to hear it will be warm enough to swim, the kids love to be in the water. And like you said Weluvwdwx5 after a midwest winter, we will be ready for the pool! I hope the wait goes fast because I am ready to go now

WDW in March is the equivalent to my normal life here in New England. LOL

It can be hot and it can be cold. Overall though we have had great experiences in that while jeans and a sweater may be required at night, we have enjoyed sunny warm weather during the day. Best of all it doesn't tend to be that humid, hot FL weather, but instead the "I'm so glad to be away from the cold northeast pleasant heat."

I wish March was here, because around Northern IL. life has been very stressful this week for me. But you know what, all is peachy because I am going to WDW in 4 months!!!!

Come on March 25th Vicky needs a vacation really bad

Oh, forgot to ask!! Are you traveling with kids, and where are you staying while your there?

I hear you about Midwest winters...I'm originally from Nebraska, we're recent transplants down here. Our whole family is going, me, DH, our daughter turns 9 next week and our son will turn 6 right before we go. We're staying offsite at Windsor Hills. Would have loved to stayed onsite, but I think we'll get more room for our $$ offsite. At least reading the boards and researching stuff will keep me busy til March! LOL

And now, we can keep each other company! :yay:

I to am looking forward to March, especially after the long winter in Alaska!!
We will be staying at ASMo March 14-21st
Hurry up
