We're will be at Disney June 27 - July4th and I need reassurance!! I know it will be crowded, but is it as bad as the week between Christmas and New Year's? We were that this last holiday season and survived quite nicely. I also know it will be hot - which I'm a bit concerned about with a 3 and 5 yo. Any reassurance or suggestions for making this trip a success are welcome!

hmmm....disney in june/july...we were there mid july last year and let me tell you...it was hot...hotter then i have ever experienced before for a prolonged period of time...but it was completely managable...make sure you take frequent breaks and maybe return to the hotel with the little ones for a swim during the hottest point of the day...make sure that if you eat in the park you do it in an air conditioned environment...drink lots of water to ensure that you are all well hydrated (sp?).....
regarding the crowds...while it was pretty packed from time to time, it also was managable if we made use of fastpasses and planned our day accordingly...
we will also be there this year at the same time frame you will be...june 22nd thru july 4th....see you there!!!!

You can expect.......
To see me there having lots and lots of fun!!!!:bounce:

Seriously though, one of our favorite things to do is to make a PS for lunch during the hottest part of the day,and eat SLOWLY.
It's nice to just sit enjoying the airconditioning for a while.Afterward we're usually refreshed and ready to go again.

Also we like to get our kids, DD11 and DS4 bottles of water with the bottle straps that they just sip on all day to keep hydrated.

Just remember to take it slow, and rest when needed.
Frequent breaks in the shade with a Mickey icecream bar always seem to help.:D

We will also be there...

I love that time of year, yes its hot but the hours are longer, and parades / fireworks are usually daily. This allows you to take you time, and take a break in the afternoon without missing much.

We usually go early, leave at lunch for a swim etc, then go back in the late afternoon.

We always make PS's, if we change our mind once were there we just cancell them.

We will be there the same time too. It can be hot and humid here in Kansas but I have never been to Florida in the summer so it will be an entirely different experience. We are staying on site so we plan on going back to the room during the hottest part of the day.

It is hot and humid. Expect pop up rain showers on ocassional days. Remember drink water, water, and water. There is alot of things to do inside also where it is cool. We usually are in the parks at opening. We ride all the rides in one section never waiting more than 30min or we get a fast pass. We do early ps for lunch. Then decide on how crowded it is. If it is crowded we switch parks or go to resort to swim, nap with younger kids, ect... Don't forget to bring misterfans (cheaper if bought at target, kmart, or walmart than at the parks) rain ponchoes (2 for $1 at dollar tree but they are adult size.) Snack items to pass time in longer lines and something to entertain small ones. Enjoy and have a wonderful trip. We will be there the week after you and always go in July. We really don't think it is that hot be we are use to humidity.

We'll be there too! We went in August last year and it was HOT, HOT, HOT. We spent a lot of time in the pool and went to the parks early in the morning and/or in the evening. I read on the boards that DIS-Boards members wear lime green ribbons to identify themselves - I'll have to try and find some!
