We have a reservation at captains grill for 6:15. Should we walk from Epcot ( we have one individual on a scooter) or should we take the boat. And how much time needs to be allowed for both?

Walk. It's at the Yacht Club right out the back door from Epcot. You would probably wait longer for the boat to arrive and board than it would take to walk or 'scoot' there. We ate there last year and they were very helpful to our 2 friends in scooters. BTW I loved the crab legs.

I agree with the PP, walk.
Once you walk through the International Gateway, you have about a 7 minute walk to the doors of the Yacht Club lobby. Captain's Grille is just inside the doors to the right.

Total trip, even at a leisurely pace, should take 10 minutes.

As for the boat, once you boarded at Epcot (which may or may not be immediate depending on if there is a boat waiting when you arrive at the dock, or not) you would stop first at the Boardwalk, then arrive at the Yacht Club dock, from which it is a short walk to the doors.

Total trip time would be in the range of 15-18 minutes, not counting time waiting for the boat at Epcot.

We generally walk into and back from the Boardwalk/Yacht Club/Beach Club areas to/from Epcot, just because we can control the time rather than having to allow for boats to arrive where we need them. It's a pleasant stroll along the beach to get to the Yacht Club.

Also, the boats only take a maximum of two ECVs, so you could end up having to wait for another boat if there are already two or more ahead of you in line. It's really easy to walk.

Thanks for all the advice. I think we will walk to it and take a boat back just to take a boat ride.

The walk is lovely and a nice short trip. Take the "short cut" to the YC, when you come to the bridge, take the path along the waterway instead of the bridge. It will save you a couple of minutes, and it's nice and smooth- perfect for a scooter.

We really liked Captain's grill, it was quite and not crowded. Great food and CM's too!
