What should I taste?

Hi everyone!

How many items can you request to try at the menu tasting? The form I received only has two bullet points for each heading (appetizer, salad etc.), but can I request more than two?

We're having a brunch reception, so I'm leaning towards finding some fun lunch items to try at the tasting since breakfast items are pretty standard. Does anyone have any yummy items to recommend tasting that would be suitable for a brunch?

Good advice, those are definitely on the menu!!

I agree with Lurkyloo though, that you should save your tasting for things you're unsure of. Any ideas?

I know I only want to hit the minimums (sadly right not we are way over) so we are doing breakfast. We tried items weren't sure of like cheese blintz and creme brulee style oatmeal for the breakfast menu. For our entrees, we tried steak and chicken but they didn't make the menu instead we are going with an omelet station. Oh and for dessert we tried the slipper dessert. This is what we tried and it was pulled from different menus....

Wow - that's almost exactly what we tried! I think we had crab rangoon instead of the oatmeal, and field greens instead of the blintzes.

Wazzo, if you check out the menus on http://www.magicalkingdoms.com/ftw/wdw/menus.html you can get an idea of what's out there. Also, if you haven't already, you could ask your wedding consultant to send you all the menus for your venue.

And if there are any dishes you love at WDW restaurants, you could ask to try your venue's re-creation to see if it's something you'd want to serve. For example, isn't there some kind of breakfast lasagna at one of the character meals that everyone loves? Maybe that would be a good addition!

Good idea! I love Boma's breakfast pizza!!

It's going to be hard to pick just two from each category!
