Please share your tips and helpful info for traveling with a 12 month old. We will be going to WDW this December.

Any help with feeding and eating at restaurants, packing all necessary items, traveling in the car, etc.

What did your 1 year old enjoy the most?

Thanks in advance for your help. :)

Hi

Although we didnt drive (we flew from the UK) - went to WDW when our DD was 14 months old.

Took our own nappies & changing bag - but bought food from WDW, Publix & restaurants.

Everyone was very obliging when out and about especially when eating out - staff were very attentive of DD & made a fuss.

DD was scared of characters at first but by the end of the holiday loved them. She was happy to go on the smaller rides in MK & watch the animals on the safari - she enjoyed the Lion King show. Splashing in the water at Blizzard Beach or in the pool.

i took a few favourite toys for the stroller to play with when resting.

Forgot the changing bag one day when at Sea World - but as you can buy everything there it wasn't a problem.

Hope you have a great time - ask if I can be of any further help.

Take your cues form your child. Don't plan on going commando. Plan on a leisurely visit and you will have a great time. Make sure you bring your stroller. It is a must! I would also pack some snacks that you know your child likes (cheerios etc.) and some ziplock bags. It's nice to have a little something in your bag when you are waiting for dinner to arrive or while taking a break at the park. I :cool1:

WHen my little brother was that old, what we did was that we always brought the stroller (if u don't then ur going to fing that ur arm might fall asleep from holding him so much) We would go on all of the "kiddie" rides right wen we got there, and then babt swapped for all of the "grown-up" rides when he was asleep(which is around 12:00) :rolleyes1

thanks for the replies. I appreciate it, we are so excited about our trip and I'm sure it will be great! I can't wait to read the whole thread that was attached. :wave2:
