What should I get my parents as a thank you?

I'll be heading to WDW on Wed w/friends. Two of us are in the education field and could not afford our annual trip. My (wonderful) parents are DVC members and are letting us use DVC points for a studio at OKW. We would like to bring them home something nice. Last year when I went to WDW w/my boyfriend we got them a gift card to Portobello's. I don't know what to get them this time. I was thinking about getting my mom some luggage. I know she has a couple of the Winnie-the-Pooh pieces and loves it. In Dec. she saw a shirt at POC w/Captain Jack Sparrow on it. Unfortunately they only had it in a L and she would need an XL or XXL. Anyone know if they have women's shirt's in those sizes? I would love to get her that shirt too since she is quite obsessed w/Johnny Depp. (She has a POC calendar and one month there was a pic of Keira Knightly so she took a past month's pic of Johnny over it!) As for my dad, he would probably be happy w/anything. I was thinking of not getting him something from WDW but maybe a Home Depot gift card. He loves Home Depot. My mom has Johnny Depp and my dad has Home Depot :) Any ideas would be appreciated!

Whenever I've needed to get special gift for a couple who are into Disney (several were thank-you gifts, too), I've always opted for a nice framed piece of artwork from one of the Art of Disney stores. They have all sorts of different sizes, as well as themes, romance being our pick for "couples."

This past February, we scored 8x10 prints for $15 already matted at the art store inside Cinderella's castle. Picked up frames when we got back home on sale for less than 10 bucks at Target. Lasts much longer than a t-shirt, and Dad can put on him home improvement hat finding a good spot for it :)

Good luck & happy hunting!

Parents love kitchen stuff like pizza cutters, ice cream scoops, dish towels, serving dishes, coffee cups - which can be purchased at DTD or at your resort gift shop. They're not too expensive, and they make you smile when you use them each day.

We got both sets of parents German Chocolate.

My mom hid the bag of chocolate with her pots and pans, and told the kids not to tell Grandpa. It was so good, she didn't want to share.

I think with the larger shirts sizes, you can ask for them. We were in the RnR Coaster store and someone needed a 3X and asked a salesperson and they went out back to get one like it was a common thing. HTH :)

Shirts, dishware and handmade Disney stuff. For dad, customize the lawnmower, for mom, custumoize the washer and dryer, DIS style!!

Sounds like a perfect marriage...... :goodvibes

The luggage sounds like a great idea (however, does your Dad use the WtP luggage??? How about dinner at CA GRILL or Victoria and Alberts? I like to give gifts that people like but won't buy because it's expensive or elaborate.

Do they collect WDCC? Big Figs? Maybe a WDW watercolor or framed print?

Whatever you get them, they will love because they are your parents. :)
