What should I expect if I do MK evening til midnight?

My kids are night owls, we loved being in the parks until 11pm (our closing time the last two week) and were able to get a ton done during/after Wishes. I agree that the little kid rides are best, Mine Train was still 40 minutes, but we walked on Dumbo, Small World, Barnstormer, Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain. We spent 15 minutes in line to meet A&E, which made up for us missing our FP+ earlier in the day because there was a torrential rainstorm that lasted hours.

Caution...We made the mistake of "walking in" to Monsters Inc...we LOVE it, but it was 10 minutes in the first waiting room, 10 minutes in the second, then the show...we blew 40+ minutes of prime touring time because it said it's wait was 10 minutes.

Even when they were little, I found it much easier to let my kids stay up late vs. making them get up early.

My fondest Disney memory is chasing my then 3 year old daughter back to the entrance to Space Mountain moments before midnight with her screaming "one more time Daddy" all the way.

Completely agree!! My kids have always loved staying late in MK. We love the feeling of being there late and the smaller crowds then the days.

Question, though. Do you have to run back to the fast pass kiosk, can you just use the app? Seems like the app would be a lot easier.

I did a few late nights at MK last month (week after Easter - so fairly high crowds). They were fantastic and I got so much done.

For the night that MK closed at midnight, I saw Wishes at 10pm, then the castle projection show at 10.30pm (I think). Then over the remaining 1 hour and 15 minutes or so did: Cinderella and Rapunzel (FP), Under the sea, Ariel's grotto, Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, and 7DMT, all of which were walk ons except 7DMT which was about a 5 minute wait. For Splash Mountain I was actually the only guest in the queue and at the loading area, and when I came back to the loading area the CMs asked me if I wanted to stay in the boat and re-ride (still no other guests in sight) - only reason why I said no was because I wanted to make it to 7DMT before midnight!
