What Should I Do?

So, we just found out recently that one of our DD‘s was accepted into the Disney College Program. She moves in during the middle of Jan. We have, of course, used all of our points for this year and have an April use year - so we won’t get more points for a while. And we already borrowed half of our points. We got a reservation at CBR - so we have a room. BUT.. I hate paying that price when I could stay deluxe. I would love to stay at CC or BRV and have seen the two nights we need pop up as available. However, before I can find someone with points to rent they are already gone. I would almost be willing to pay someone in advance for points in case the rooms appear again- but don’t really want to get stuck with $500 worth of points if rooms do not open up. I really am fine with CBR (our favorite moderate) but my heart really wants Wilderness Lodge. Y’all are much better at tactics than I am. Any suggestions?

Why not try a transfer of points from someone. Then you could try grabbing the rooms yourself, or waitlist them.

Some of the DVC rental sites rent out dedicated reservations. Why not check there and see if something matches up to your dates?

I have to admit that I do know you can transfer - but I don't really know the in-or-outs of it, having never done it or considered it before. At least to date, there are not any confirmed reservations for those two days - I have checked the rental places multiple times a day.

Right. Even if you had the points, they might not be that useful. I've been stalking for January for months, and it has been tough. Maybe you'll be staying at Bonnet Creek.
