We booked a last minute trip to Disney and we leave in 31 days:goodvibes

Will be there for 5 days but when I called to book dinner at Ohana they are COMPLETELY booked. Sheesh! I never had a chance.

Anyhow, what would you do if you were me? Should I call WDW-DINE every day or is checking online the exact same thing? What are my odds of something opening up? Have you ever made last minute ADRs work out?:confused3

Online and calling are linked to the same system... save your money and check online. It's easier...

Well you are going during FD so it may be impossible, but you never know. Keep checking the cancellation thread for your month. Also people have had luck with walk-ups if they go right at opening.

Good Luck!

Don't give up, keep trying online. We just booked a last minute trip for this month and I've gotten all but one so far. I just got the CG I wanted this morning. Persistence pays off !

I would keep trying online and see if something opens up. Alternatively, you could try either the concierge at the hotel or a private concierge. We recently returned from a trip and used the White Hollow Travel dining concierge and had good luck with them getting reservations for us.

What in the heck is that? Your travel agent? Never heard of that or any kind of non-Disney concierge service for getting ADRs, unless it's just your TA's description of their service.

Edited: Nevermind - had to look it up myself. A service that charges you $3 or $5 each to book your dining reservations? Don't waste your money OP - they can't get any different reservations than you can get yourself by calling or online.

I would also recommend that you keep checking online. We've had luck in the past getting reservations closer to the time of the trip - even for very popular places (like Le Cellier). Good Luck!

Nice name Figment Jii :figment:

Thank you EVERYONE! I did not know about the cancellations board or that the online reservation system is connected to Disney's system. I have renewed hope that it may work out. :goodvibes

When I called to see if Fantasmic opened up for my needed time (which it did and thanks to the posters here I was able to find that out) the Disney Staffer told me that if I was holding out for anything else to call the day after the 45 mark.
It seems that if anyone hasn't paid up, their ressies get cancelled and things open up. That's the newest advice I can give. In the meantime, just be an online ressie stalker like me.

People that are going to cancel their trip will do so before 45 days when their final payment is due (for packages). But be aware - that doesn't cancel your dining reservations automatically. Just in case anyone who might be cancelling a trip is wondering. You still have to cancel the dining reservations separately. But that is the reason why sometimes availability opens up around 45 days out.
