I don't know what to do.................

We want to go to WDW Sept 2011 and when I mentioned this to my sis, she got all excited and said she wants to go next year and we could all go together. I didn't realy comment on this and to be honest, didn't think it would be mentioned again....

oh, was I wrong.............She has lately began to say, how lovely it would be to see my daughter(5) at disney ( her daughter is 16) and how our sons will love to go on the rides together.

I know this might not seem to be a bad thing, but I was looking forward to going to disney, just with my family. We went on our own last year and loved the time we spent together as a family. The previous times we have always gone with other members of our family.

We went with my sis, the first time, and found it hard work to please everyone.:scared1: but I know how much she would love us to go together this time.

so.........what should I do????? Do we agree to go together and make my sis VERY happy or do I disapoint her????

I'd disappoint her now. Have the holiday you want. It's too much money to change your plans just because your sister might be upset for a while.

If you really can't bring yourself to do this then insist on separate holidays, accommodation etc. and agree to have 2 or 3 days together during the holiday - but only if you are sure she will keep to the arrangements.

I agree with Libby - disappoint her. You are jeopardising your whole holiday/family's enjoyment to avoid upsetting your sister. My DH suggested going with my SIL and BIL - now they love my kids and I can socialise with them in small doses, but 2 weeks at WDW? I don't think so!:rotfl:

I know how you feel, my Dad wants to come with me but no way is that happening. Good luck with your sister.

well looking from the other side of the coin.....!
every year we go to Florida with my dh family, which is my sil bil and there sons now aged 23 15
we all have a fantastic time!
the reason being is that we dont live in each others pockets while we are there, we have separate villas and cars and meet up now and again for meals.odd park day etc, and we also have a bbq and booze up 1 night at the villa!
this is how we do it and it works well for us!!

I agree with Netty :)

Separate accommodation, cars and an understanding that you won't live in each other's pockets.......... :thumbsup2
