What should I do???

We have booked our first family WDW (me, DH, Ds(4) and Dd (1)) trip 5/10-5/18. I just found out the other day that my college graduation is on 5/10!

I am really having a hard time deciding whether to skip commencement or modify our reservation and leave on 5/11 instead.

If you were in my shoes, what would you want to do??

You will have to decide what is more important to you.

If it is your first trip through a commencement and your family may be excited and proud as well as you, then go to the commencement.

If you've done it before, they'll mail you your degree.

I'd say you may go to Disney again in your lifetime, but you will only graduate college the first time once.

Go a day later to DW or even that night. I missed my 1st graduation and at times regret it. Is there really a difference between going on the 10th or 11th?

Thank you both for the replies. You made a good point. There will only be one commencement. We will go to WDW again someday.

Dh had told me that it was completely up to me and that I needed to decide what was more important. I did look into booking a later flight but the latest we would fly out was 6:45 pm and it would be too much of a rush.

Too funny.. two complete strangers made sense of this for me and have helped me make my decision. I love the dis and thank you both!
