What should I buy at Disney World?

I am at Disney World in Florida, and am wondering what type of collectible items I can buy. I am trying to buy things I can get ONLY here to make it worth it (not available at The Disney Store, etc.). My budget is cheap as possible to a few hundred dollars at a maximum.

What should I buy, and where can I get it from?

Thanks in advance!

If you are still there, I would actually try to collect as many of the free items as possible. I am not sure if there are too many truely "unique" items for purchase anymore, but the birthday/anniversary/first visit buttons from Town Hall, the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom cards (one pack per day), and the transportation trading cards (available from the busses and boats), are free, but only available from/at the parks.

I hope that you have a great trip.

Hello,

Thank you for the reply! We've been collecting the transportation cards, and have our buttons, but have never heard of the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom Cards.

Luckily, we are headed to Magic Kingdom today!

Thank you

Pressed coins. Pressed pennies are 51 cents each. You can get a special Disney book at the parks in which to collect them. The Penny Collector and Pressed Coins (I think) sites have lists and locations. Supposedly Guest Services in the parks has them too.

I don't usually try to collect every design, just one from a particular park or sub-park, maybe a specific ride I like, or the hotel we stayed at. My DS and I do it together. We are going to get one from each Epcot country next visit.

The sorcerers of the magic kingdom is an in park game that you can play with the cards that you get at City Hall, I believe. Each of your admission tickets will get a pack of cards per day. You can then follow the clues to go from portal to portal fighting battles using the cards that you have. I have not done it, but it sounds like a good distraction if you have some extra time in the park.

Epcot also has a passport you can buy and get stamped at every country. They also write something in the language of the country (you can request your name or a phrase as well). Cute little keepsake.

The coins are fun to collect! I also don't go for the whole collection (500+) but more the ones I enjoy.

Thank you everyone!

Our DS did the passport once. It was cool and free.
