So many years ago I took two pair of Croc Athen flip flops to WDW. For the first time EVER I did 8 days of touring and had not one blister and much less pain in my legs and feet. They were my go to WDW shoe. I wore them everyday. Rotating between two pair.

Fast forward to last trip and I needed to get a new pair since they were old and the toe post had broken. I go online and can't find them anywhere. I found out they were discontinued so I bought two pair of the Croc Capri flip flops. I was hoping they would be a lot like the Athens (and they were) but I had blisters and pain. It SUCKED! The material on the toe post is different and caused pain between my toes. That was the worst part.

Anyway what are your recommendations for flip flops? Anything close to the Croc Athens? We go in August so I prefer flip flops due to the rain. I can't stand wet sneakers.

Was it a plastic material? The Crocs Kadee has croslite (the name for the type of plastic crocs are made of) material for the toe post. I think a bunch of other Croc sandal types are the same with the exception of the Crocs Capri. I'd check amazon. You could also consider other crocs sandals without toe posts. Like you, I love crocs in the park, but I usually wear the flats - and only those made 100% of croslite material.

The Athens toe post were the croslite material. It figures I would get the only pair that doesn't have croslite for the toe post. :rotfl:

I will look into the Kadee. I loved that the Athens had the double cushioned footbed and heel. They were roomy and so comfortable.

I wear Tevas.

I wear Teva Tirra sandals and my daughter wears Teva flip flops. Since we started wearing those in the parks, we haven't had any foot problems or blisters. Both offer good arch support, too.

I like Chacos a lot! They're hiking sandals, so they're made to stay on your feet and be super comfy. They're also a bit more expensive, but I've had my pair for FOREVER. They take a bit of getting used to to avoid any blisters, but I think they're so comfortable and durable. Plus, they can easily get wet because they're sandals.

I hate sneakers and don't wear them, so I wear sporty sandals. ABEO BIOs from the Walking Store are comfy, and they make flip flop styles. My Merrell's are great, so I would imagine that their flip flop line is pretty good too. I wore both brands to the parks in August and my feet NEVER hurt.

I usually wear Teva mush flip flops but on my last trip I tried Fit Flops and I never wore anything else! They were not the most stylish, but OMG, my feet never felt tired! Not once!
