We are staying at the Grand Floridian for the first time in Sept and I was hoping someone could give me an idea of a good building/area to request.

Thanks in advance

Tina

All the views at the GF are supposed to be lovely. Are you wanting lagoon or garden view? Are you staying Concierge- main bldg RPC or Sugar Loaf? This information will help in giving you advice on what to request.

I'm sure some of the GF vets will be along shortly to answer. Here's a link the the GF FAQ thread. You may want to post there too.

Thanks for the link. We have reserved a regular garden view room.

It depends on what you want to be close to, but many will suggest requesting Sago Cay Marina View. It's almost like a lagoon view at GV prices. Quiet building, close to the main bldg, Gasparillas, bus stop. It is NOT close to the pools however. Are you going alone or with kids? Closest buildings for the "quiet" pool are Big Pine Key and Boca Chica. Big Pine Key is also closest to the theme pool.

You might want to consider requesting a corner room and not specify building. They have 2 balconies and sometimes will have both a GV and LV.

Here's a GF map to help with buildings, etc. Make sure to post on the GF FAQ thread as well.

We thought our 4th floor GV Conch Key room was lovely. From our balcony we could actually see sunrise over the lagoon... Narcoossee's was off to the left.

I could have been quite content with just about any garden view room at GF... the grounds were that beautiful. Enjoy! :wave2:
