What Rides Will a 10 Month old Be Able to Do?

Hi,
I'm so thrilled to be able to take an unexpected trip to WDW this coming February. My new son Jack will be 10 months old at that time. Throughout my struggles with infertility I dreamed of taking my child to WDW, and now I get the chance. Plus the family went to WDW last August, the day after I found out I was pregnant so there are many rides I missed out on.

Obviously there will be many rides off limit to Jack. We will have several adults present so baby swap will be easy. But I'm really eager to intriduce him to some of the "classic" Disney rides (mostly Fantasyland). Would any of these rides be okay with a 10 month old infant?

Peter Pan
Winnie the Pooh
Snow White
Mickey's Philharmagic
Dumbo
Haunted Mansion
Great Movie Ride
The Safari Ride in AK

I'm also eager for any other suggestions for age appropriate rides.
Thanks!
Molly and Jack

yes all of those are fine - anythign without a height limit will be fine - like Pirates for example

My DD was 11 1/2 months when we went last year:

Here's her reaction to the following rides:

Peter Pan - None of us went - line was too long.
Winnie the Pooh - Liked it!
Snow White - Didn't go because I know it can be scary for little ones.
Mickey's Philharmagic - wasn't operating at the time.
Dumbo - liked it (Also go on Alladin Magic Carpets - that is fun too)
Haunted Mansion - was oblivious to it.
Great Movie Ride - was oblivous to it.
The Safari Ride in AK - Liked it

DD also went on these:
Pirates - Was fine.
Small World - Loved it! (But I know it's under rehab now)
TTA - PERFECT! Good way to get them to relax.
Jungle Cruise - Liked it
Train - Liked it
Tea Cups - Slept through it! ;)
Muppet's 3D - Couldn't sit still that long. Not a good idea - also was hungry at that time.
Spaceship Earth - Fell Asleep
Journey into Imagination - Got scared at some points
Living with the Land Boat ride - Liked it!
Food Rocks Show - Didn't really seem to care

LOVED the Characters though!! Learned to say "Mah" for Mickey Mouse and recognized all the other characters. I reccommend a character breakfast at O'hana's, the characters paid extra special attention to my DD during the breakfast and Goofy even fed her!

Don't forget the baby care centers! They were great for revitalizing a hot and cranky baby! ;)

We went on pretty much everything but the coasters and some longer shows. One word of caution about the Safari Ride in AK. There are no restrictions on taking little ones but it is extremely bumpy when the 'chase' part happens and DH was holding 17mo DS on his lap and both went flying forward almost smacking DS's haed on the bar (padded). DS was not too pleased and started to get a little scared at that part. So just hold on tight and brace yourself, sit in the center w/ the baby. Personally I thought that portion was way too rough and everyone's reaction was to reach their arms out to brace themselves..hard to do while holding a baby so there fore my DH was thrown forward.

LOVE the name Jack..thats' our top choice for our new addition in February!!

We took our babies on all the rides you listed when they were 7 months old and also 12 months old. You can take them on anything without a height restriction. What we did was put our babies in baby bjorn carriers to protect them in case the rides jolted a bit, especially on the safari as someone above noted. We would just store the carriers under our stroller until we went on a ride. Even at 12 months they were pretty much oblivious to the rides, but my husband and I sure had loads of fun!

We took our daughter last year to WDW when she was a year old and put her on every ride that did not have a height restriction. She was not scared of anything, except the Great Movie Ride when they stop the ride and have all the gunfire. It was very loud!!! Also did not like the sit down shows like the new Mickey's Phillarmagic or It's Tough to be a Bug. I think the loud noises again and the special effects with the air blowing. What was funny was she didn't mind the darkness in the Haunted Mansion, and kept saying hi and waving to all the ghosts. Everytime we went on it and she would see the dog in the graveyard she would wave hi to it and call him "Ollie" who is our dog Oliver at home!!! It was a lot of funny taking her at this magical age.

One suggestion is to book as many character breakfasts and dinners as you can since the little ones are so occupied watching them move around the room. We actually had many many long, relaxing pleasant meals since she was eating and enjoying all the characters around the room. We did do another meal without the characters and after about 20 minutes she realized there was nothing to look at and got fussy in the high chair. One of us had to leave the table early!!! If you have any suggestions on the character meals we went to I would be happy to share them with you!

Enjoy this magical time with your family!!!:wave2:
