What rides to avoid while pregnant?

I'm 5 mos and going next week. I have been trying to decide what will be on my no-ride list as well. I know the usual's....any rollercoasters and Splash,Dinosaur,Test Track, Safari, ToT, ect.. but I think I am going to be safe and say no TSM or Teacups... My dr said I can just watch everyone else, but I don't feel I need to be that extreme... I may avoid Winnie the Pooh as well....I can't remember how bumpy it is? TSM is just so jerky I think I better sit it out on the safe side. Congrats and have a great trip!:goodvibes

I went wen I was 28 weeks and rode TSM like 3 times in a row and had no problems its really not that bumpy and you can brace yourself if you want. Pooh is def fine.

If there is no warning and you have no problems you will be fine. Car rides can be bouncier and jerkier than many rides.

Living with the Land. If you have cravings for certain vegetables you may try to leave the boat and end up getting booted from the park.

Yep, those jackfruit & fluted pumpkins sure are tasty!

Regarding the Safari, I was in the "meh... better safe than sorry, but it's probably fine" camp. Then we had one particular ride that was - honest to goodness - as wild as Dinosaur. I don't know WHAT that driver did, but it was crazy! And while it won't knock a kiddo out of the womb, my mom & I almost both died from placental abruption, which if I understand is the risk from some of the more forceful rides - so I am a bit cautious...

My sister did PoTC, TSM and Kilimanjaro Safaris at 7&1/2 months pregnant - "my husband's driving is worse than this" was her mantra. She never looked twice and the coasters or tower of terror tho.

You will probably be okay with all of the advice above, its not likely that something will happen.

However, in our case, my Wife miscarried during a trip to Disneyworld. It likely was not the result of anything she rode on, but she'll never know and it was a long time before she could forgive herself or stop asking "what if".

I don't mean to be a downer for you or judge anyone else's decisions, but I thought you should have this perspective as well to consider in making your decision.

Hello everyone! We are planning a Jan 2014 trip to Disney and I'll be 6 months along. I know to avoid roller coasters however does anyone know if a list exist somewhere of rides to avoid while being pregnant. I just love Haunted Mansion and Pirates. Thanks!!!

Congrats!!!

I was last at WDW when 6 months pregnant and went on both Haunted Mansion and Pirates with no issues. I also went on Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan, and Spaceship Earth. I avoided all rides that said "not for pregnant women" (so no safari, no roller coasters, etc.) but those were fine.

The only reason I was told no to the safari (I asked specifically) was the risk of placenta abruption.
