What rides or attractions would you like to see them replace?

I always hate to see a ride go away or get replaced. Case in point the Snow White Scary Adventures in WDW is now closed so they could put in another meet and greet. How awful!

So if they did close or replace one which would get your vote?

My vote would be Innovations at DL. It's too bad that the carousel of progress had to move. I think that area is a waste. So much land that could be used for something big.

At DCA I would choose Goofy Sky School. I just never have enjoyed the ride. I know its a small space but couldn't they do better than that?

How about Captain EO? I think Tomorrowland could use a little update!

I agree with you on Innovations. Dump it & put in Mission Space (perfect for tomorrowland). But If they had to put COP in there, then at least I'd have another spot (besides those comfy chairs in the GCH lobby) to snag a 15 min. afternoon nap. ;)

Dump (or seriously update) the muppets (which i do like....it's just that i've seen it 15 times). Replace it with that show in DW FL (cr*p...cant' think of the name) Mickey's Philharmonic? or something.....or that Movie ride (from Studios) Great show & Great ride & both perfect for DCA.

Also....open up a sit down spaghetti joint in DL & put a Brown Derby in DCA. (......& as long as i'm spitballing......an Ohana in the PPH, a Japanese Steakhouse in the GCH & either the French or Canadian Restaurant in the DLH. :))

Oh.....& a round the world (mini world showcase) food court with about 20 countries represented......at the VERY front of DTD.

I agree, Innovations should be the first to go in DL. We went in last year and could not wait to get out!

In DCA I would probably say the Symphony Swings, but that's just because I don't enjoy that type of ride.

1. Definitely get rid of Captain EO and Honey I Shrunk The Audience. I think its time for an update there.

2. I'm not really a big fan of toon town, if it went away I wouldn't be devastated.

3. I agree with the poster that said Goofy's Flight School. Its not tha its a bad ride, it just needs to have some work put into the imagineering area... Match the theme of the area.

If I listed out the things I would like to see added I could be writing for a long time...:)

You know what's funny? My girls love both GSS and the SSS! they don't care for the other two in that area - Jumpin' Jellyfish and the Golden Zephyr. I agree that Mission Space instead of Innoventions would be awesome!

Would anyone else like to see something else instead of RR in Toontown?

rides to get rid of:
inovations is a must in my opnion, kinda a waste of space unless you need shelter from the weather.
captian eo could go as well... i guess tommorowland need a little TLC

on the DCA side i hate to say it but little mermaid is a huge waste of space the craftmenship is great but takes up alot of valuable realestate to me that would have been better suited in fantasyland, the hollywood backlot could use some work alot of unused space

I agree wtih Captain EO. I'd like to see Innoventions before they replace that because I have no idea what's even in it. LOL.

Goofy's Sky School is number one on my list. The "update" it had recently was so disappointing.

I'd love to see a new show replace Captain EO now.

A new Muppet show would be wonderful! Not replacing them, just change the show.

All of Tomorrowland could use some updating and some fresh ideas. I am not a fan of the Jules Verne version of the future they decided to use. I find it dull and uninspired. (I enjoy Jules Verne for the visionary story teller he was, just not for DL) I realize it is not easy to keep up with the future, but now they have just stopped thinking about it.

And how about opening up the fort again on the island, while we're at it.

We loved Jumpin' Jellyfish, Golden Zephyr, and Silly Symphony Swings.

I wouldn't care if Ariel disappeared. The conveyor belt was annoying and way too hard to navigate carrying a toddler. The inside was lackluster.

The only DCA attraction I really didn't like was Goofy's Sky School. I have no interest in riding that short, jerky, pointless ride again. I'd be happy to see it replaced.

I found Tomorrowland to be the most crowded and to feel the most like a State Fair. The Innoventions building's sales pitches caught me off guard. The walkway between Buzz and Star Tours was almost impossible to navigate at night, like the midway of a state fair. I expected a barker, some fried peaches, and some spa tubs for sale. It definitely didn't feel futuristic to me. I particularly thought it had a lot of wasted space, like the big statue on top where the people mover used to be. It would be nice to have a better flow and more curb appeal there that fit into the theme of the land.

The ride I least liked was the car toon spin, but I know a lot of others like it.

If I were going to overhaul one attraction, though, I would make the nearly heretical choice of saying It's A Small World. It is like an auditorium with a long spa tub going through it and the world's biggest 6th grade diorama all around. Some of the little scenes are really neat when zoomed in on them, but the boat's tub, the open ceiling, the bad lighting, and some of the poor designs all fall short of what I came to expect at Disneyland.

Ok, Innoventions needs to go, but other than that, why close attractions. There is plenty of space to use:
  1. The old motorboat lagoon
  2. The people mover track
  3. The old Fantasyland skyride station (a lift could be put in that goes up the hill to make it accessible)
  4. The remainder of the old Timon lot and the team route that goes by it.
  5. Relocate TDA and you could free up even more space.
  6. The building that has the restrooms across from Little Mermaid, there is still a good amount of space in there.

I am sure that there is a lot more, but these are a few that I can think of.

Sorry Michael Jackson, your the king of pop, your music was AWESOME but Captain EO has go to go. It was wonderful that Disney recognized MJ, but like all things it must come to end. I know its a classic movie and others would disagree with me for saying this, but that show is TERRIBLE and totally outdated.

Innovations is a yawner. The building could be used as something useful instead of video games, and an aging yourself program. The house of the future is pretty neat, but I think that the building could be used for something more interesting.

If I were to see something updated, I would love to see them upgrade Autopia. Add in some scenic things along the drive other then bushes. Or turn it into a little town you drive through. Kids love to pretend they are driving a real car. Why not make it look a little more exciting for them?

I would get rid of Captain EO (I loved and still miss Honey I Shrunk the Audience). Innoventions at least needs an update, couldn't they do something similar to an area in Epcot (the name escapes me but it was similar in idea but more entertaining). I also didn't like Goofy's Sky School (I've only ridden it at WDW but skipped it at DCA yesterday). And I agree that an update of The Muppets show would be nice.

I and my family love love toon town and Roger Rabbit. It's just so fun. We love all the buildings and houses and especially Goofy's roller coaster. It's a good first rollercoaster for little ones I think. We also love the little mermaid ride!

One ride I really love that I wish DLR had is the Rockin Rollercoaster. But of course where would it fit lol.

For me it goes both ways. On one hand I LOVE seeing new attractions but I am also VERY nostalgic and I get sad when things from my childhood go away. One of the things I LOVE about Disney is the memories it brings when I go. But I DO agree that somet thing could def go and I prob wouldn't miss them.

I agree innoventions was fun a few times but I feel like been there done that and we haven't gone back. I would LOVE for the PM to come back as would a lot of people and am sure it could be updated somehow. Agree that EO should prob go but not HISTA back but something new!

For DCA what about the old Millionaire bldg? What's in there? That is a huge space that could house a cool ride and I agree the muppets is old. Seen it too many times would like something new. I don't care for the zephyr or the jelly fish so could see something new there and although GSS is ok I wouldn't mind something better there either.

What Millioniare building? I can't think what that is or was.

Over by Monster's Inc they have a large bldg that was the game show How to be a Millionaire or whatever. It was there when it first opened and didn't last very long.

We found out the hard way that once you are inside Innoventions it's very difficult to get out quickly. DS HAD to use the bathroom and they don't have one inside...took way to long to get out. That seems like a fire code issue, no?:confused3 Plus, it's just boring....

Captain Eo is outdated & morally, I'm not a fan of MJ- but...it has a huge following and is kinda kitchy (sp?).

Personally, I wish they would add a good restaurant to Tomorrowland. I'm not a fan of the Tomorrowland Terrace or the pizza place. But perhaps "what to add" should be another thread.

On that note...I vote to add the People Mover!:thumbsup2
