I'm already thinking ahead to our October 2011 trip eventhough my baby is still in my tummy and will be until September!

What rides are ok to take a 13 month old baby on? These are the ones that come to my mind straight away although I keep changing my mind as I'm not exactly sure as I've only been once before and never really thought about rides for babies!

its a small world
pirates of the caribbean
peter pan
Winnie the Pooh

Can anyone add any more Disney/universal/seaworld rides?

Thanks

Snow white
Teacups
Dumbo
Railway
Haunted Mansion
Nemo
Living with the Land
Mexican Cabaleros (spelling probably off!)
Safari
Kids rides in dino land

Loads of stuff in Universal Islands in the Seuss section

That's all with a 9 month old so I'd imagine 13 would be fine.

thanks for this i'm taking our 9 month old twins in sept so its good to know

TTA - Tomorrowland Transit Authority..

i rode on that about a billion times in a row with DS when he was 6 weeks old while DH and DD (who's 3 years older) were off riding 'real' rides....

Anything without a height restriction! :goodvibes

DS was 11 months on his first trip and he went on loads of stuff with us, sometimes the only stipulation that they had was that he could sit upright on his own on the seat, he could, and at 13 months your baby will too.

we took our lo when she was 5 and half months in Feb (born last sept) this year and she went on nearly everything without a height restriction and she also loved all the shows. some things actually made her fall asleep (haunted mansion). she sat on our laps on most things although did get wedged in between us both on some rides. we had a fab time and so did she, we have some amazing pics of her meeting all the characters. Good luck - sept babies are the best! :goodvibes

Thats good to know, our Baby will be around 5 and a half months when we go in Sept (Assuming he or she arrives on time ;))

Our wee man will be about 9 months old.

It's going to be so different going with a baby but I'm really looking forward to it. :)

Owen loved the Tiki rooms and was happily bobbing along. We also took him on the Haunted Mansion (at 16 months he didn't get it so wasn't scared), the Buzz Lightyear ride at MK, all of the rides in Fantasyland. In EPCOT we took him on Spaceship Earth and Maelstrom. In Hollywood Studios he loved Toy Story Mania, Lights, Camera, Action and the Behind the Scenes Ride.

I think at Disney most of the rides are suitable as they are geared at different age groups. Check out Disney's site and look at the rides suitable for young children and that will give you a better idea.

DS was 15 months when we took him last year. His absolute favourite had to be It's a Small World - he loved it! We had him on loads though, Aladin's carpets, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Tigger and Pooh ride (I don't know the right names for loads of them - lol), the one in Mexico, he loved the characters and loved the little playground things. He also enjoyed things like Mickey's Philharmagic even though he wouldn't keep the glasses on! oh and the Playhouse Disney show at DHS.

Can't wait to go back this time as he's so into Cars and Toy Story and stuff now whereas he was all Pooh and Mickey Mouse the last time - woo hoo!!!

mo x

Thanks everyone for your replies, there's loads more rides suitable than I first thought, really can't wait, only another 18 months to go... :rolleyes1

When we took DD she was older by about 6 months but I have to warn you beware Small World.

She loved it!!! I went on that darn ride five times a day every day because every time the boys went on something she couldn't I got the cry of 'mall word, mall word' from the child in the stroller. She also loved Pooh Bear. Didn't at the time like the dark so many of the recommendations were out even things like Mickey's Philarmagic and Snow White.

She was also teething and the only time she slept soundly all week was at the AK on the Safari - guess the movement sent her off and during the fireworks - Go work that one out.
