Hello,

Just wanted to find out which rides we can take a 6 month on. We were hoping that rides like IASW, Peter Pan, Snow White, the carousel and Pooh ride. We really dont care if we cant ride any but were wondering if any were an option. We will be down for Christmas and went the first week of December last year. The decorations and all the Holiday Festivities should keep us busy anyway. Appreciate any feedback--Thanks

I will try to think of more rides than the ones you mentioned. We took our dd when she was only 3.5 months old and I know we did many rides, but reciently she has not been too fond of Snow white b/c of the dark scary part. Just a thought to concider. (the haunted mansion does not scare her, but the pirates of carribean does, go figure) I thought of another you can go on... Jungle Cruise. I'm sure there are lots more, and of course lots of shows/attractions, like Mickey's Philharmagic, or at MGM the muppet movie, the playhouse disney, the little mermaid, I'm sure there are tons more, those are off the top of my head, but you will have a fun filled time!

I think all the rides you mentioned should be fine, but realize children respond differently to the same ride. Some children are scared of dark rides, other of 3-D object projecting out at them, others are scared of Disney Characters and others respond negatively to loud noises. At 6 months these may not be an issue until your child is a little older when they start translating what they see differently.

We found our eight month daughter loved, "It's A Small World."

I think it was a combination of the music, the colors, movement and the dolls. She stared and was very observant throughout the entire 13+minute ride.

Another favorite ride she loved was Winnie The Poohs Adventure and she also had no problem with any Disney Character we encountered like Mickey Mouse at Chef Mickey's and the Pooh gang at the Crystal Palace. Great pictures of smiles turning into giggles at each place.

Overall, Fantasyland, Mickey's Toon Town and Character encounters might be where your child produces the largest smiles and laughter.

6 month olds are too little to be afraid of the dark. We took ours in a Baby Bjorn and took her on everything in Fantasy land, Pirates of the Caribbean, even the Haunted Mansion. It's just lights and info to her little brain. And the other parks were equally easy. Almost everything in AK, lots in Epcot, and any shows in MGM. We've taken both our girls while babies and it was super easy and we enjoyed tons of the rides. It wasn't until 9 months until about 4 that they were scared of the dark and loud noises and the like. That is my experience.

When we were there in June with our then 3 month old he was pretty good on just about everything, that being said the ones he seemed to enjoy the most (laughs, giggles, and jumping around) were

#1 Figments journey into imagination (lines were short so we rode it 3 times in a row!) - Epcot
#2 Small World - MK
#3 Mickey's Philharmagic - he was bouncing around with the music and lights - MK

If I think of any others that he really seemed to enjoy I will edit my post - Have a Wonderful Trip !

We took our daughter when she was 5 months old. We took her on all the rides that we could and she seemed fine. However she did not like the shows that we too loud, like Festival of the Lion King, and The Country Bears. I say take it slow and see how it goes. I do know that that trip was our best trip so far because we took our time and did not rush around from ride to ride. I hope you have a blast. :) :)
